  • Will Come Again

"The house was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable living space, well equipped kitchen, nice wood stove with plenty of fireplace, stereo and tv (for dvd's). Two bedrooms with very comfortable beds and warm comforters. Very roomy deck with nice furniture. Wonderful views from every space. Sally, the agent, was most accommodating and helpful. We will be back."

  • Experience SF like a local

"My husband and I just returned from spending a thrilling week in SF where we stayed in this very comfortable apartment. This was our first VRBO. The owners made the whole experience easy and straight-forward. The apartment is the best of all worlds. Very close to MUNI (bus) transportation, shops and restaurants, yet still extremely quiet because the unit is well off the street through a secured gate along a lovely garden path. Loved the wi-fi, spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen and spa-like bathroom with great hot water pressure in the oversized shower. What I liked best is that by renting this apartment you get to experience the city as a local. You can explore the hip and trendy neighborhood around you on foot or easily catch a bus to Golden Gate Park or any other part of the city. Lastly, the price of this charming place is 1/2 or 1/3 of what you will pay for a tiny room in a chain hotel (which won't include a kitchen, living room, and maybe not even wi-fi). Without reservation, I would recommend this apartment to others and it will easily be my first choice if/when we visit the city again."

  • Nice apartment

"I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 2 children. We only ate breakfast here but my husband did cook eggs and used some of the supplies to make hot chocolate. We weren't informed that it was Gay Pride weekend and that the street would be closed down for a huge block party. We were surprised when we got off the metro that was a block and a half away to find a huge party and some naked men. Even though the property is set back behind the building on the main street the music was blaring. I'm not sure when it finally got quiet but we all had a hard time falling asleep due to the music. We had to sign house rules saying we would be quiet. We did have a car since we were travelling all around CA and were able to find a parking space a couple blocks away on Noe St. We were there over the weekend so it was fine. We used public transportation to get around the city and it was a bit confusing. It would have been nice to have some brochures of some activities. It would have been especially helpful to have a MUNI, public transportation, maps. We went to the wharf, Blue and Gold boat tour called the Rock, walked on the Golden Gate Bridge and went along the coast to get to the airport from Lands End where we had great views of the GG bridge. I wish we would have had more time to go to the beach. The place was at a good location but not for the weekend we came."

  • Wonderful house + excellent location + amazing view = happy vacation!

"Our time spend in the Julia Morgan house on Panoramic Hill was magic! Imagine yourself set free in your eccentric great aunts home full of books, art, and great music. I found myself spending hours exploring the vast, beyond mainstream book collection in every room in between gazing out the windows watching the turkeys frolic with the squirrels and looking at the amazing city views. My young teens found the record player in the dining room with the huge collection of albums and our weekend was spent with them discovering music such as the Beatles and more. Evenings were spent lounging in the living room having meaningful conversation in front of the panoramic sunsets. Lifelong memories were made here that lovely long weekend! Our hostess went beyond for making sure we were comfortable and cared for. Couldn't ask for a better situation!"
