"I drove to The City on this trip and appreciated that parking was not restricted on this block - a huge advantage - and that the #6 bus stopped just across the street. This tiny unit uses its space to good advantage; I particularly appreciated the kitchen amenities. It is quiet. San Francisco was going through a cold snap when I was there but the unit was warm enough. The bed was comfortable. My only quibble is that the only window opens onto a small interior space - if like me you feel most comfortable with an open window nearby even in cold weather, that's a drawback. The owners leave a list of nearby markets and laundries, as well as small bookcase of reading material. Hope someone has enjoyed the copy of a Tina Fey book I added!"

"Our family of four (two adults and two young adults) plus another couple stayed for one week. The outdoor space is the real lure- just perfect for gathering and spending time together. The pool is lovely and the grounds are well kept and so pretty. The bocce and the pool table were great activities for everyone. It felt more like a little complex with the separate indoor spaces all facing the outside space- we really loved it. The main house comfortably fit all of us and the guest house was great for our friends. We loved the ability to walk to the square or to the little local market a few blocks away but not feeling like we were near anything when we were at the house. It was a great trip!"

"My sis-in-law and I had an excellent 2-day retreat; felt like a week. The location couldn't be better. The views - excellent from every room. The way the bedrooms are situated on opposite ends of the house left me having privacy and alone time. My gosh, the beds were to die for - fluffy, downy and decadent. And my own deck!
Every amenity imaginable inspired us to make great breakfasts each morning.
Then we packed PB&J sandwiches to go out for the day. Within reasonable distance, we visited North Coast Botanical Gardens and explored hidden beaches, described on literature available at the house. We roamed Gualala, shopping, and dining at the Gualala Hotel...super nice locals at every place we visited.
We hot-tubbed in complete privacy several times, wrapping ourselves in the white robes provided!
The provisions at Serendipity, from batteries to Bundt cake pan, have been thought of to the last detail and we loved every last minutes we were there."

"We had the chance to stay here for a few nights and it was lovely. I'd love to stay again! A beautiful home. The gentlemen who stays on the premises to care for the animals was such a kind man, very sweet and warm. Gail is equally kind and warm. A peaceful place.
Though it worked out for us (we brought our 4 children) and we had a good time, I would not rec. small children. Or, if you do, be sure to keep watch to open windows, steep steps/hills, move up breakable items, & remain with child when around animals."
