  • Beautiful cottage and location

"Rented this lovely cottage for my daughter, son-in-law and their 2 children, as we had all come up to Bolinas for a family wedding - they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Everything was perfect and the kids aged 5 & 8 loved sleeping on the window seats and watching the seals play in the lagoon. The bird life is amazing too. The beach is a 2 minute walk - it could not have been a better location. The booking and house instructions were made very easy and clear by the owner. All in all a delightful place to stay in a truly wonderful little town. Thoroughly recommended."

  • DC family

"This was an ideal rental for our family of 6 coming back to a beautiful location that includes a lagoon in front of the house for swimming and boating, a protected wildlife lagoon behind the house and a 10 minute walk to Stinson Beach. The house is beautifully appointed, comfortable and has all of the amenities you could need including a washer/dryer. The listing was described accurately, but it is good to know ahead of time that one of the bedrooms is just large enough to hold a Queen bed..could be seen as very small or as my daughter saw it…as cozy. There was a rubber boat to paddle around in the lagoon but we also rented a canoe from a place that delivered it to the beach and picked it up the next day when we were leaving. We recommend that renters stop in Mill Valley at Safeway or Whole Foods to stock up as there is one store in town and the prices are high and the stock is limited. The owner was accessible by email and has left a manual providing information to help handle any situations that might arise. Our family had a wonderful time and loved the house."

  • Great stay

"We were 2 people that stayed at this lovely studio in the Haight/Ashbury district of San Francisco, great place to stay, comfortable, quiet & cozy. Close to everything by foot & public transit. The owners are very nice, helpful & accommodating. I truly recommend this place."

  • a most stunning place

"This is the cleanest, best equipped and most tastefully furnished place we have ever rented. In August 2014 my husband and I spent 17 days in this eceptionally beautiful house. Every morning at breakfast we were newly enchanted by the sight and the sound of the waves as we watched the Pacific "at work" from the dining room table in the living room. Though we were only two, the house is well suited for 6 people. It is spacious with its 3 bedrooms plus a den, and there are several comforable chairs for long-time sitting. The listing description regarding its location was very accurate. A short trail leading to the main beach is just one minute away from the house. The location of this house is ideal for all kinds of excursions whether it is the exploration of the natural beauty of Northern California you are seekinng or whether you want to experience the Mediterrrainian beauty of Somona and Napa Valley vinyards with their winetastings and amazing restaurants. Magnificent places like Point Reyes, Muir Woods and the Coastal Trail at Bodega are all within easy driving range. And then, of course, there are the long walks along Dillon Beach, watching Pelicans feed and other water birds. The owner was in close contact with us and most helpful in answering our questions. We would not only highly recommend this place to our family and friends, but would love for ourselves to come back there one day. The house and its location so close to the beach is well suited to families with young children, but for them, the path to the water would have to be improved in its safety from erosion. We did miss not having access to an outdoor grill, and ATT cell service was non existent, but altogether, this house is the most relaxing place imaginable."
