  • Great getaway!

"My family spent Christmas at Lori's beach house and had a wonderful time! We love to cook and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, bake, and enjoy our holiday meals. There are plenty of great hiking trails nearby and the beach is wonderful - if you like to surf, there's good beach break and consistent surf. We would definitely come back to Dillon beach and stay at Lori's beach house!"

  • Quality - Comfort - Calm: that is how I describe this beautiful property.

"My daughter and I spent a long weekend in the city here and it was perfect. The pied-a-terre is in a clean, quiet, and lovely neighborhood next to the Presidio. We were within 15 minutes of anywhere in SF and we took advantage of it: from amazing restaurants in the Mission and Sunset to Downtown and Fisherman's Wharf to shopping in the Haight and hiking at the Presidio. Each night we returned to the quiet comfort and privacy of this place to refresh, relax and receive a wonderful night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to say in SF."

  • Great rental for fit families.

"Our family of 6 stayed in the penthouse for 4 nights between Xmas and New Years. Our main goal was to see the NFL game in Levi Stadium tacking on a few days to see SF. Not a prime location for the football game as the stadium is 2 hours south in Santa Clara, but it was ideal for sightseeing SF without a car. As mentioned in other reviews the condo is up a hill and 34 steps, but the effort is rewarded with wonderful views. The bathrooms had good water pressure for showers and nice towels. The living room is small but worked for the little amount if time we spent in it. There were several TVs but we never turned them on. Beds were very comfortable and rooms had lots of room for our luggage and clothing. Many italian restaurants nearby if heading west on Vallejo towards Columbus. Broadway just south of the condo was a little seedy and we avoided that area late at night but otherwise had no concerns with our safety walking to and from dinner spots. Wear your walking shoes and you can get to pretty much everything from this location. SF public transit is also excellent and we used it for further excursions. Will be back here for our next SF trip!"

  • Perfectly located, family-friendly flat

"We could not have been happier with our accommodations for our long-anticipated family vacation in one of our favorite cities. The Duck's Nest is an easy 25-minute ride from the airport, just a block from Golden Gate Park and the nearest Muni bus into downtown SF or to Ocean Beach, and situated in a neighborhood teeming with some of the city's best ethnic restaurants (not to mention an excellent independent books store). The flat, itself, sleeps 4-5 comfortably. (We have a 12-year-old and a 16-year-old. The 12-year-old was quite content for the week in the day bed nook in the dining room, as pictured). It's attractively appointed, with wood floors throughout, fireplaces in the living and master bedroom, overstuffed chairs and couches in the living area, and comfortable beds with plenty of pillows. The pictures on the website really do show what you can expect. It's absolutely as lovely as it looks, and it has all the amenities you want in a home-away-from home experience--roomy fridge, gas range, washer and dryer. Plus, Rob and Diana are only the most thoughtful hosts ever. SF guidebooks, maps, and DVDs abound, and notes throughout the flat anticipate every need. We hope to make it back some day."
