  • Unforgettable 50th Birthday!

"We just returned from this wonderful property where we celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with our extended family. We could not have chosen a better spot! The large, incredibly equipped kitchen and the long dining room table allowed our whole group to cook and eat a great meal of local foods together. We also spent a lot of time enjoying the cool, giant fireplace. During the days, we took hikes, made short trips to Point Reyes for bike riding and local shopping and went paddle boarding on the bay!! At night, each couple had their own bedrooms with wonderful beds and attached bathrooms! So there was the perfect blend of "together time" and privacy. The only down side I can mention would be that two of the space heaters upstairs were not working. I've told the owner about this and I'm sure it will be remedied because she certainly seems to care about details and comfort! We would definitely love to return!"

  • Perfect Secluded Spot, Not Far From Anything!

"My husband and I stayed here with his sister, her husband and their teen-aged son. Plenty of space for the 5 of us. The views around the cottage were lovely, the layout was really neat. Everything in the cottage worked (even though it took me awhile to figure out how to work the toaster oven - it did indeed work just fine!). We did puzzles and played games in the evenings, and it was quite nice. The kitchen was well stocked, and I was pleased to find the house stocked with things like toilet paper, paper towels, ziplock bags, etc - the little things you need. The downstairs queen beds were both incredibly comfortable. The loft futons were pretty firm, but sticking some extra blankets under the bottom sheet made them just fine. One note: while there is indeed a TV/DVD/VCR, it's really much too small (and in a small alcove) for a group to watch a movie. It would be more appropriate for small children to watch kids movies (of which there was a HUGE selection!). Instead of watching a movie, we did puzzles :-) This property would not be suitable for folks with mobility issues, as there is no ground level access to the house (you have to walk down a dirt path) and stairs to get to everything. It was fine for us, but maybe not for older couples or those with mobility issues. So beautiful, I highly recommend this for most travelers! The owner was also very responsive with all of our questions and very easy to work with."

  • Heaven

"This very charming and well appointed house is a delight. With views of the bay and breezes, you can sit on the deck for hours reading, thinking or talking and get a true Inverness experience. The rooms are spacious and the cabin is a great place for the kids."

  • Wonderful Getaway for Two

"My wife and I spent 2 nights at this cottage. We have stayed in several rental properties in this area, and this is one of the best. It is exactly as advertised. Very clean and comfortable. The setting is beautiful and the gardens are a special treat. The owners have thought of everything and have provided good instructions as to how to use all the features of the cottage. We would definitely stay there again."

Inverness Travel Tips

Experience Inverness Vacation Homes

As Inverness is primarily a residential community, there are a wide variety of different Inverness cottages and vacation homes for you to stay in when you are traveling to the Bay Area. If you are considering a variety of different San Francisco Bay Area vacation rentals, then make sure that you consider beautiful Inverness and the Inverness vacation homes that would make your stay in the area absolutely ideal. They provide you with a comfortable, warm and inviting home away from home so that you can focus on relaxation and enjoyment.

Visit Fair Inverness, California

Inverness is located central to Bodega Bay, Point Reyes, Drakes Bay, Inverness Park, the Tomales Bay and the Point Reyes National Seashore. Although Inverness itself is not very large, the stunning landscapes are enough to bring many people to the area. The population is very small, and so when you stay in Inverness vacation homes or Inverness cottages, you can enjoy a peaceful and quiet retreat without worrying about the hustle and bustle of a normal tourist town. Inverness is the ideal destination for a quiet trip without putting you too far out of the way from the Bay Area and its surrounding cities.

Enjoy the Point Reyes National Seashore

One of the greatest destinations in the Inverness area is the Point Reyes National Seashore, one of the most overlooked treasures in the entire Bay Area. The Point Reyes National Seashore is located in the very westernmost tip in Marin County, and it largely surrounds Inverness. If you are visiting Inverness vacation homes, then it would be wise to find the time to visit this unique landmark, a stunning seashore that plays home to approximately 37 marine mammals and dozens of other species. The Point Reyes National Seashore, in close proximity to numerous Inverness cottages, offers a unique biological diversity that makes it an ideal destination for many visitors.
