  • Serene retreat with European flair

"Our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children ages 10 and under) stayed for a week at this beautiful, peaceful, well-equipped home. The neighborhood was lovely, the beds were comfy, and we lacked absolutely nothing. Melodi is a gracious host and went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and that everything was working out well. The house is beautifully decorated in relaxing colors which showcase Melodi's artistic eye. We enjoyed the hot tub nearly every day and had fun exploring the neighborhood. Don't miss the walk up the hill behind the house to an undeveloped site with a 360 view! Thank you, Melodi, for a great stay. We hope to be back!"

  • Fantastic experience in a walker's paradise

"I rented the City View apartment for 3 months and absolutely loved it. The location in Noe Valley was perfect for me because it is a safe, very walkable part of the city. The weather is the best in the city because it was sunny just about every day out of the 92 days I was there, and it is centrally located, so it was easy to hop on MUNI/J Line and get anyplace I wanted to in just a matter of minutes. The view of the city is breathtaking and the deck, with a BBQ, lends itself to many days and nights out there relaxing and taking it all in. The apartment was immaculate when I checked in and everything was better than I even expected, and I expected a lot based on the other reviews. The owners, Lee and Bob were always available if I needed to contact them, which I rarely did, but it was nice to know that they were there if I needed anything. They are not intrusive at all and I felt like the place was my home just hours after checking in. This was the best rental experience I have ever had, and I've had quite a few. You will not need to pack much at all, except for clothes, because everything you need is there waiting for you when you check in. You even can spend time with the sweetest dog in the world, if you want to. The dog, Molly, was the high point of my stay at this appointment, although her owners are quite wonderful too. I loved having her over for visits since I was missing my own dogs who were back at home. Bob and Lee made this the best experience I could have ever imagined and it was very difficult to leave my new "home" when my 3 months was up. Whether you have been to SF many times, or this is your first visit, stay here. It is the perfect home base for wherever your plans take you. Avoid the hotels and touristy areas, and get to know the real SF. You can always hop on the MUNI and go visit all of those places, but then come home to the peace and serenity of your home with the best view in the city. I spent many days walking to the surrounding neighborhoods and felt like a real SF native when the sad day came that I had to leave. There is so much to do even 1 block away down on 24th Street. Perfect location and perfect experience."

  • Great location, excellent host

"I stayed at Clipper Cottage for one week. The first few days I attended a conference downtown and then my husband joined me for a long weekend. This was my first time in San Francisco and I was really happy with the location. Noe Valley has somewhat of a small town feel to it, which I really liked, yet I could get downtown easily on public transportation. The cottage was clean and comfortable. I wish we could have spent more time in the garden, but we weren't around much during the day. Carla, the owner, is awesome. Very accommodating yet not too intrusive. I would definitely stay here again."

  • 4-day family trip to San Francisco

"This apartment was an excellent choice! The location was very central - we walked everywhere (AT&T Park, Fisherman's Wharf). There were 6 of us -- mom dad and kids between 16-27. We had more than enough room. The only reason I didn't give it an "excellent" was because of the HILLS (which have nothing to do with the apartment). We parked in a garage around the corner -- walking up the hill was tough! The Vallejo stairs took you to North Beach -- 96 of them. There were 34 steps to the apartment. The exercise we got was wonderful -- but boy was it tough. The apartment was nicely appointed and the beds were comfy. Beautiful view of the Bay Bridge from the living room and one of the bedrooms. I would definitely rent again!!"
