  • excellent beach getaway

"Our family of 4 plus dog had a wonderfully relaxing time staying in this sweet cottage. It was enough space we didn't feel like we were on top of each other but still cozy. My girls loved the loft and spent lots of time up there doing their own thing. The kitchen was well equipped. Location is excellent as you are only 80 (kid) steps from the sand AND only a hop skip and jump from town to grab more eggs or get a cup of coffee. You can also walk to the trailhead of amazing hikes into the hills. (Matt Davis Trail and Coast Trail) Jerry does a great job of providing you with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable."

  • Loved this place and the surrounding Noe Valley Neighborhood!

"We absolutely loved the NOE NOOK FLAT and the surrounding neighborhood and it accommodated our family of 4 nicely. The Style of the place was awesome, being historical in nature but modernized with amenities. The surrounding neighborhood is great for exploring and we felt safe walking around at all times day and night. It was conveniently located to 24th Street where you have a multitude of local businesses including Pubs, Grocery Stores, Eateries, Bakeries, etc. The larger flat on level 3 easily accommodated my wife in the master room and my kids on the futon in the extra room. Theres is a nicely sized central kitchen and then a separate living room with amazing view of the area out a Victorian Style Bay WIndow. If you have a larger group you can get the Level 2 Flat and have the entire Flat. The larger Flat that we stayed in comes with use of the single car garage which for us was great so we could park for 2 days safely and use the public transit system (which we were very close to I might add). The master bed has a double sided fireplace that goes to the Living Room (but enclosed glass buffer on both sides) so if someone is sleeping on sofa in living room or watching tv late you may have a slight compromise of privacy. Not a deal killer but my only criticism was the futon sofa. Once setup it was great but it was extremely hard to setup (and I am an Architect and supposed to be able to do these kinda things). If it would have been setup upon our arrival it would have made life a little easier as we almost had to call the property owner (and it was late at night). I would definitely come back to this place in future and maybe get the entire place next time! Thanks for the memories!"

  • Lovely home, lovelier hosts

"I had the pleasure of staying in the Mallorca apartment this fall when visiting SF for a conference. The place was precisely as advertised -- lovely, cosy, full of amenities. It's in an excellent part of town -- the Marina -- and provides convenient access to a variety of services and locations. Chestnut Street (just two blocks away) has more restaurants than you can possibly try in your time here; I enjoyed Causwell's at the recommendation of a friend, but the host has many excellent suggestions as well. What's more, the apartment is just blocks away from the ocean, and about 5 minutes away, you can access Golden Gate park (if you're really adventurous, you could venture to the bridge or take a bike to Sausalito). Most of all, I was satisfied with the hosts. They accommodated a last minute request on my behalf to stay, were lovely to talk with and offered many useful suggestions, and were attentive and responsive during my stay. I would without fail recommend this property to anyone else, and hope to stay again the next time I'm back."

  • A great getaway weekend!

"Ventured up to Inverness to attend a wedding and made a great Labor Day weekend out of it - we enjoyed the property location, escape from city life, and great proximity to Point Reyes, downtown Inverness and Stinson. Wit 2 sleeping areas, it was easy for the 5 of us to spread out - especially helpful for me to bring my dog, she enjoyed the house/yard and the natural surroundings! A great low-tech, high outdoor time weekend - would definitely rent again!"
