  • Perfect for a weekend getaway!

"We came here for a little weekend getaway and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The cottage is charming, cozy and full of conveniences that made our stay comfortable and very relaxing. Just steps away from the beach and a stones throw from hiking trails, we really enjoyed our weekend here. (Our little dog also had a blast and we appreciated the outdoor shower with hot water for easy clean up after spending the day on the beach.) Jerry, the property owner, was extremely helpful and has really thought of everything to make your stay here fun and enjoyable."

  • This house is a gem!

"We spent a romantic and relaxing Valentine's Day weekend at Oceansong! It was obvious that from the moment that we opened the front door and heard the welcoming soft music, champagne, and chocolate awaiting us, that we were in for a memorable time! The house is "oozing" with character and charm! Creta and Bill were wonderful hosts! Bill stopped by to greet us was very helpful in giving us tips about the area, some history and points of interest that we may want to see. We were excited to spend our first day exploring through some bushy areas at the beach. When we got back to the house, I realized that I had a tick in my arm....yikes! :-( Trying to be brave and not really being prepared for this, I called Bill and Creta to see if they could come to the rescue. Bill not only brought over some tweezers, a magnifying glass, and Hydrogen Peroxide, he also helped me get that critter out of my arm. I was thankful that they lived very close by and were so helpful in an "emergency". The weekend went by way too quickly...so quickly in fact, that I lost track of days. I appreciated that Creta and Bill checked in with us the morning of our scheduled departure or we may have inadvertently "crashed" the next visitors stay. Next time we will just have to stay a bit longer!"

  • two bedroom apt in the Mission

"This clean two bedroom apt met our needs perfectly - two comfortable queen beds and a blow-up queen mattress in the closet along with extra sheets and pillows, an adequate kitchen with large table, bath with shower, comfortable sectional in the living room (couch better for sleeping than blow-up mattress), outdoor patio with barbecue that we didn't use as it was raining. Photos give a good view of its casual (not fancy) nature. Brian and Leah were very responsive especially as the lock on the front door is a bit tricky at first."

  • Charming place to relax

"Came back from a 3 night stay at this house, 2 families with kids. The location is amazing - at the end of a little town, where you feel like there are no neighbors, and most of your view is the huge yard and forests. The house is well equipped. Beds were good. Rooms were spacious. Not a new or modern house, but clean and for the most part everything works. Kitchen is small, but living area is fine. By far our favorite feature was the fire-pit, which is set up next to the ponds with koi fish and waterfall. Sitting on wooden chairs by the fire-pit, with the sound of the waterfall, is just a heavenly relaxing experience. Endless supply of firewood was a plus too. Sarah, the innkeeper was very responsive and helpful. Some minor issues you might want to be aware of (while we still overall give it 5 stars!): - The layout of the house is, how should I put it gently - unusual... a downside is that one of the downstairs rooms is connected to upstairs, only by going through one of the other rooms (unless you walk out and back in through another door). - Related to the above, the master bedroom doesn't have as much privacy, since a stairway from downstairs goes through it, and can't be closed without isolating another room. - Some of the doors are tricky to close. For example between the master bedroom and the kitchen, the door just keeps popping open. - I don't think there was any air conditioning. We didn't need it, but if you go there during a hot spell, be aware. There are plenty of windows and the area is windy, so I suspect it might be fine anyways. - Stairs are a bit steep for small kids. If you have kids that are not yet very comfortable with stairs, you may need to us a gate (I think there might even be one on the property stashed somewhere) - Beware that while the house is big, the base price is for 4 people and you will be charged extra for each additional one. So it might end up a lot more expensive than you thought when it first showed up in your search! It's worth it though :-) A hiking trail from the street to the beach is really nice. We didn't go all the way with our small kids, but the part we did was beautiful. We would certainly consider coming back again!"
