  • San Francisco Gem

"My wife and I just concluded a one month stay at this property and we were impressed with the accommodations, view, location, management company, etc... Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the SFO Bay was a great way to start the day. The parrots of Telegraph Hill often paid us a visit each day. They were so close you could almost reach out and touch them as they dined on the berries from the nearby trees. The unit came equipped with everything we needed. It was wonderful to watch the fog roll in and out of the SFO Bay throughout our stay. You could even hear the harbor seals during the day. When we could see clear to Sausalito, we knew the weather would be perfect that day. The location was fabulous. One needs to be ready to tackle the hills though, but it is worth it. The end of the street is what we called the secret garden, a beautiful garden walk down to Leavenworth St. We took it every few nights when we wanted to get some gelato in Little Italy. The management company and owners were very accommodating whenever we had a request. The neighbors were also very friendly. They made us feel at home. We will definitely be back..."

  • The Hydeout

"If you want the true San Francisco experience, you won't do better than the Hydeout. The Hyde St. Cable car runs right out front and the constant rhythm of the cables running under the road can actually be soothing. The wharf area is just 2 blocks down the hill which you will find much easier than going up the hill. Bike rental is also close by and the city is quite bike friendly with many dedicated lanes. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. One thing we noticed was that the wi-fi service would stop working after midnight so not sure if that is by design or not. Also there is no TV in the bedroom which we would have preferred as our daughters were staying in the front room. Highly recommend."

  • Home away from home.

"Our trip to one of the most charming neighborhoods in San Francisco was everything we hoped for and then some. The lovely little house was a wonderful place to stay, clean, bright, and very inviting. We felt like we were at home from the minute we first walked in the door. The little backyard with the cozy deck was a great place to hang out. Our landlady was easy to communicate with and friendly, and the whole experience was just A number one. The only thing we found to be a little iffy was that there were not quite enough plates to serve dinner to our whole family, daughters and grandson. Next trip to San Francisco?? Definitely back at our "home" away from home, in my favorite neighborhood."

  • A Magical Place

"Helen's House is a quiet, comfortable home convenient to all the best that Point Reyes National Seashore has to offer. From views of Tomales Bay at sunrise to fields of daffodils set in a beautiful garden, we felt as if we had found our own private Eden. Thank you, Jeff and Barbie, for sharing your grandmother's house with us. We hope to return soon."
