  • Nice apartment

"I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 2 children. We only ate breakfast here but my husband did cook eggs and used some of the supplies to make hot chocolate. We weren't informed that it was Gay Pride weekend and that the street would be closed down for a huge block party. We were surprised when we got off the metro that was a block and a half away to find a huge party and some naked men. Even though the property is set back behind the building on the main street the music was blaring. I'm not sure when it finally got quiet but we all had a hard time falling asleep due to the music. We had to sign house rules saying we would be quiet. We did have a car since we were travelling all around CA and were able to find a parking space a couple blocks away on Noe St. We were there over the weekend so it was fine. We used public transportation to get around the city and it was a bit confusing. It would have been nice to have some brochures of some activities. It would have been especially helpful to have a MUNI, public transportation, maps. We went to the wharf, Blue and Gold boat tour called the Rock, walked on the Golden Gate Bridge and went along the coast to get to the airport from Lands End where we had great views of the GG bridge. I wish we would have had more time to go to the beach. The place was at a good location but not for the weekend we came."

  • Wonderful Home!

"We stayed here for 4 days in April 2014. The house is very beautiful, clean, spacious, and had everything that we needed. The owner has detailed instructions for any questions that may arise and is also accessible if you need her. The house is in a great location in Berkeley, just a mile to the University, the BART, and even closer to the grocery and great restaurants. The inside and outside of the home are immaculate. The garden and outdoor area is gorgeous. The home is on a very quiet and safe street. The owner is very nice, helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!"

  • What a great place to stay!

"We are a family of five and it can often be difficult to book affordable accommodation. This house was perfect for us. We had already been travelling for 10 days staying in hotels and this was just the space we needed including it a separate kitchen, dining and lounge room. We arrived late at night - I had advised Ethan who manages the property - and he had left lights on for us to make our way upstairs. Once inside the kids had a great time exploring the property as it's not instantly apparent how many rooms there are and it was an adventure just finding all the rooms. The location of this property was also ideal. There are some great little cafés within 1/2-2 blocks away and you really feel part of the neighbourhood. Public transport was also very easily accessible to get you where you need to go. We picked up our hire car on the last day and it was a relief to know we had a parking spot available. Ethan provided excellent and prompt communication in all our dealings with him. We really enjoyed our five nights here and we were all sad to leave."

  • Beautiful views, great location, lots of space!

"With a family of 7 staying under one roof space was a key factor when making this reservation, and we were not disappointed! With multiple entraining/dining areas, and bedrooms on separate floors not to mention a gorgeous and spacious outdoor area, we had beyond enough room to relax. The furniture/decor was modern, and also provided a sense of tranquility, which explains why they named it Casa Tranquillo :) To top it off this home is also within walking distance to Whole Foods, and some great shops and yummy restaurants. Le Zinc is an amazing little French Bistro I would highly recommend! It's also a very quick ride to all tourist spots such as the Pier and downtown. This home provided the perfect getaway for a family vacation. The owner is incredibly responsive and beyond helpful! I would highly recommend renting this beautiful home to anyone!"
