  • 1850 sf Cottage!

"This charming hideaway, is very large and killer views! You have your own private yard with view, or enjoy the common pool area. Giant trees and mature landscape making you feel like you are part of the park adjacent! Some very good hiking and mountain bike trails (all degrees of difficulty), are a short drive one direction or about a mile walk the other direction . Randy and Sue could not be nicer, and the dogs are cool and respect your space. We enjoyed a week at Thanksgiving and spent 3 days here over Easter! Perfect weather both times. Only downside is small kitchen but the peaceful setting and beauty make up for any negatives! I am a fireplace guy, and this place has two of them. Plenty of wood!"

  • Gorgeous and amazing place!

"I was lucky enough to stay here for over a month and had an amazing time. The amenities of the place are incredible, the views are gorgeous and the owners are very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area is really comfortable, with nice chairs, heat lamps and speakers. This place is a hidden gem. It was really amazing to be in the Bay Area while also in this amazing hideaway. It is also really close to Redwood Regional Park, which has some great trails for hikers and bikers. I would highly recommend staying here."

  • Great Place to Host Small Groups

"I happen to live the neighborhood and went looking for a place we could gather a group of 10 software developers together for a two week planning and sprint session, and this house worked out great. The three upstairs bedrooms held the visiting folks, while the downstairs has both a large dining area and a large living room so you can move groups around to have separate discussions as well as hold full group sessions. The engineers loved not having to be at a hotel, and the back deck has a nice large outside table for those sunny days that CA has to offer which was great. And the kitchen allowed us to set up and cook several team dinners for up to 16 people at the house using the great local College Avenue shops for stocking the pantry. And, if you don't want to cook, well College Ave has almost any kind of restaurant food you want, or you could simply take BART 20-30 minutes into San Francisco for food, theater, and tourist attractions. The house is literally 2+ blocks from the Rockridge BART so most days folks could get to the house without a car, although there was enough parking on the street if you did happen to have one. This was helpful for when we stocked the house on the initial day, and for when people came for group dinners. With the development team, we did slow down the house network with 10 folks working on some days, but were able to get our work done. For a family, I don't think this would be a problem, and it really was not a problem for us. Wireless access at good network speeds was included with the rental. The owner lives on the property in a private room upstairs which was never a conflict, and we got to say hello now and again when she walked her dog Mable or let her cat Scooter out. Her daughter and son live nearby, and the family has been in the area for many years so if you have any questions, they would be a great resource. Would recommend the property for its great location and ability to gather a group or large family at the home easily."
