"Back for, I think, the 4th time, my husband and I feel great serenity in this lovely apartment in a tranquil neighborhood in the Oakland Hills. The magnificent view over the city of Oakland and the Bay is to die for, day or night; and Claudine's impeccable furnishings and beautiful artwork make for a very comfortable stay. We always find fresh flowers and fruit awaiting us each time we arrive. We return here from time to time to spend a few weeks near our children and grandchildren, and the fully equipped kitchen allows us to host other family members for dinner in style! Claudine herself is always "on hand" by cell phone, even if not actually on the premises, and addresses immediately anything renters need attending to. We certainly hope to return!"Guest: Rosalind Date of Stay: November 2014 Review Submitted: December 7, 2014View listing
"I have stayed in this property twice. My first stay was a few months ago. Pros: - looks exactly like the photos - convenient location near BART, Lake Merritt and Whole Foods - useful amenities such as pre-filled shampoo and conditioner bottles - keyless entry - reliable wifi Cons: - Alas, it is Oakland. There were recent vehicle break-ins, as evidenced by the broken car window glass. Don't leave valuables in your car. - Open layout means that the apartment gets chilly easily. During my first stay it seemed impossible to get warm, but the heater was working well during this stay. I do work in San Francisco, and find staying here to be quite convenient. I can take BART or drive directly to the city if I'm in the mood for gridlock."Guest: Jamaica Y. Date of Stay: January 2015 Review Submitted: January 23, 2015View listing
"We needed a place to stay for a quick night to watch the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. This place was perfect. We were at the ball park in about an hour from leaving the house thanks to Maya's tip to take the bus. It was less crowded than BART and we probably saved some time not having to walk about a mile to the station. I used to live near this area but the neighborhood has added many new restaurants and stores and the Lake is beautiful as always. The place is cozy and charming and a great value to be so close to everything. Parking was not a problem and you really don't need to use your car much as public transportation is convenient to all the sites."Guest: Deonne C.
