Beautiful, secluded, peaceful, yet so close to all the Bay Area has to offer
"We've stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and this is one of my favorites. The property is gorgeous. It's quiet and serene. The setting is nature filled...wild turkeys taking a stroll in the late afternoon on the side lawn, hawks soaring overhead, breathtaking sunrises over hillside vistas, and occasional fogged-in mornings (it IS the Bay Area after all!) that call for a second cup of coffee and snuggling in for a morning of reading and relaxing. The house is indeed rustic and casual as others have mentioned. It's comfy and perfectly functional, however. Also as previously noted, the kitchen is tiny. We had dinner guests 4 out of 7 nights there and I had no trouble getting meals prepared. It's perfectly serviceable. It's a little like cooking in a boat galley. Everything is there and works, it's just compact. The dining area is roomy with windows to allow the outside in...perfect for a quiet breakfast watching the sunrise or a leisurely dinner party with friends and family. We'll be back!"

"Stayed here for a week long vacation with our two boys (11 and 13) and found the house to be absoutely fantastic for us. The two bedrooms upstairs gave the boys plenty of space for themselves in the evenings after long days of family togetherness, and having their own bathroom made getting ready to go in the mornings a breeze. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals if you don't feel like going out, and there is a Whole Foods and a neighborhood market nearby for grocery shopping. The neighborhood is quiet and very lovely, and you have a nice view of the Pacific from the den. The location is great as you can walk to Golden Gate Park and Haight Ashbury, and public transportation options are all very close.
Mick, the owner, is a pleasure to work with and makes the entire stay very easy. From arranging a parking pass to the well documented "user's manual" for the house it could not have been easier. Mick went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay.
If you are planning a trip to San Francisco, I can not recommend this home and owner highly enough."

"I'm actually a "repeat renter" of this property. We loved the home/location so much that we had to go back for a second visit. The expansive views of the ocean are just gorgeous and so relaxing. My favorite moment of each day was to sit on the deck with my cup of coffee and stare out to the ocean... total serenity. I love to cook, even when I'm on vacation, so I completely appreciated the gourmet Kitchen, and the fact that I wasn't far from family as I was cooking since the upstairs has a huge open floor space. The furnishings throughout the home are top quality and the overall interior design is what you see in design magazines. Just gorgeous. Can't wait to go back next year!"

"An amazing place to stay in San Francisco. We came on a family trip and the house suited our needs perfectly. Plenty of space, a great kitchen that had everything we could ever need and a large table to enjoy many great meals and fun! The house was just as described and places for all 9 of our family to sleep! We could walk to the beach, and grocery stores. We felt safe and our kids could walk to the store or coffee shop. To see the Golden Gate Bridge from the 3rd floor was great. The house was very clean on arrival and there was a very detaliled instruction book about rules of the house and information about surrounding area.
We were close to public transportation to get to all the places we wanted with our muni passport. We saw so much! Our favorites were biking over the Golden Gate to Sausolito, swimming at Baker Beach, Alcatraz night tour (reserve early!) the mission district (El Metate at Bryant and 22nd in the Mission district-the best guac and burritos!), chinatown(House of Nanking-much different than the Chinese food in NY but so delicious), Sushi and noodles from many places on Geary. Scomas in Sausolito was really great for seafood and nice eating over the bay. We went to Sterling Vineward in Napa - a winery for the adults with a gondola ride for the kids! And of course many many cable car rides.
Hillary was available before we went and during our stay for any and all questions. She made us feel very welcome in her home!
My youngest perfected their trampoline basketball in the very private feeling backyard.
Our entire family would highly recommend this property and we would go back! There is still so much to see in this great city!"
