  • Business is business

"We arrived at 2.00pm when check in was at 4.00pm so I asked Patty if there was a possibility for us 5 (amongst us 2 ladies ages 80 and 73) just to pop in to leave or luggage and come back after 4.00 The answer was yes but the cost would be of 50$ !!!!! "it is for the inconvenience of the house keeper, since she has to work around the luggage" !!! I doubt the housekeeper got a cent from this money. Nevertheless I must say we enjoyed the house which was exaclty as we expected, with a fantastic view, charming neighbourhood, shops 10mn walking. Reaching dowtown takes a bit of time but we knew that before renting the apartment. It was not a problem for us. Bedding was very confortable. Now a few things I wouldn't have mentioned if I hadn't had pay this extra charge: we kept the toilet doorhandle in hand when closing door. We had the same problem with the tap handle, same room. The pans handles were sticky and a there were a few stains on the walls probably left by travellers luggage as well as some handprints. The facade needs to be repainted, the painting is peeling (one can consider it gives charm to the property). We have never met the person in charge of the property nor the owner."

  • OMG this home is GORGEOUS!!! Wow! 10 STARS!

"OMG this house is gorgeous!!!! wow! Its straight out of HGTV – amazing! The attention to detail in the décor is outstanding – the claw foot tub, lighting fixtures, unique furniture and even the modern appliances that blend perfectly with the Victorian feel. Its really amazing! I kinda chuckled when I saw the hinge photos in the rental listing, but I get it now. The detail in this renovated Victorian is amazing. Most Victorian homes in SF are made of paint and dirt, but this home is immaculate. Its very cozy and the layout is perfect for small dinner parties or taking time out to have privacy. The backyard is completely private with a working fireplace. The flat is a few blocks from Castro street and a block from Dolores Park, easy buslines and J church train. Very quiet...did I mention gorgeous?!? Check-in/check-out was super easy, key in the lockbox - have a great time! (no annoying property managers ;) Navin - thank you for opening your doors to us, we LOVED staying there. I have never been in a Victorian that was in such immaculate condition. I know you put a ton of money into your home – again, gorgeous! I can't wait to have more friends come visit so we can all come back!"

  • Fun week in San Francisco

"Nice apartment with a great kitchen if you like to prepare your own meals. We stayed for our honeymoon and had a great time. Very busy week with lots of travel. Easy access to the Muni, we traveled all over the city using the muni and had to walk no more than 4 blocks to our stop from the flat. Castro is a cool area with plenty of shops and cafes if you don't feel like traveling."

  • Perfect getaway apartment, location, and owner.

"We can't say enough about our stay at the Charming Castro Garden Apartment - but must include that we wish we could have stayed longer. Guillermo met us at the apartment upon arrival and answered a handful of questions. Then he was available by text throughout - a very accommodating host. As for the Apartment - surprisingly homey and very well Appointed! We each have rentals in Colorado and learned from his comfortable yet uncluttered enhancements. The neighborhood and neighbors were quiet and the location was perfect - nestled in between two parks - and excellent for walking to the Castro, market street, and NoPa where we have relatives - many restaurants, stores, gyms, and coffee shops within a mile of the apartment. Since we're walkers and staying a little higher than the city, we didn't need a car and enjoyed the views as we ventured out. As an Architect, I enjoyed walking different routes back to the apartment and seeing the variety of old and new homes. More specifics? The bed is VERY comfortable - haven't slept this well on a vacation in years - and the bathroom is easily shareable for two with ample shelves, storage and elbow room. The Garden is a treat for viewing and sitting though we didn't spend enough time outside there. AND we enjoyed the counter height table and are now considering one for our home. Also: the 1 Bedroom Apt felt large for 2 and would have been comfortable for more, though we didn't want to share with Family. I would highly recommend this apartment and Guillermo as an owner and host - thank you for having us. We would definitely return and hope to on our next visit with family. Best wishes & safe travels to you."
