  • Wonderful Location in a Beautiful and Private Ground Floor Apartment with Hot Tub

"Our family of four stayed four nights at this lovely apartment located in the Corona Heights/ Castro neighborhood. Access to the subway, streetcars and the restaurants on Market/Castro streets was less than a ten minute walk away, and a well stocked corner convenience store was less than a three minute walk away. Our two teen aged daughters enjoyed taking walks through the neighborhood and soaking in the hot tub after a full day of touring San Francisco. For what we would have spent for a stay in a hotel room we were able to enjoy the experience of urbane apartment living in one of the most beautiful cities in the world."

  • Enjoyed our stay

"I was re reading the previous reviews and have to shake my head at those who complained about the noise. This is a city and with a city can come every city noise imaginable from street noise to neighbor noise. If you do not want to stay in a city, then go to the Suburbs. I was so excited to be staying is such a beautiful home especially since I am currently renovating a 1930s home. I was studying all the little details about this house and hope to find some similar items for my house. This may be a little detail that others may not notice but is something that is unique - your towels and sheets are amazing! Where did you get them? I couldn't figure out the brand names. The beds were sooo comfortable. I know it sounds weird to rave about such things but I have stayed in many vacation rentals around the world and never has an owner cared about those things so I just wanted to point them out. I do have a couple of suggestions: 1. You should create a "information" binder that gives your guest information about the house. I have seen other vacation rental owners do this and it is very helpful and may help eliminate some of the complaints that people have. Such as where to find the toilet paper (I figured you would have some so I just looked in the most obvious place and easily found them) Also how to work the TV, stove, laundry, fireplace. Even though you may think these things are obvious, it doesn't hurt to provide the info. 2. You do need an internet "booster" to help get internet in the back of the house. The signal is very strong up until you get to the 2nd bedroom but then you cant get it in the kitchen or dining room. I don't know what the technical name is for them other than booster but I have them all over my house in Bermuda because our walls are made of concrete so the signal needs a boost. It is something you can easily plug into the wall in the dining room. We absolutely loved being here. The neighborhood is perfect and we will definitely be back again."

  • In town for a work related conference

"This location was great. I typically stay closer to the Moscone center when I am in town, which I have never really cared for. On top of the fact that this was a great neighborhood and a short Uber or cab ride from the conference center (very safe, and tons of things within easy walking distance), the actual property was incredible. Super inviting, cozy, and clean. The owners treated us like we were guests at their private Inn. This was my first experience with VRBO and I don't think I'll stay at another hotel in a major city again. Thanks to our hosts!"

  • Great Find in SF

"We love SF. After 10+ visits and staying all over (Marina, Embarcadero, Nob Hill, Financial District, Telegraph Hill, Union Square, Tenderloin ...even Haight Ashbury) we decided to try the Castro District. It was FABULOUS... no regrets! The apartment is unbelievably large for a SF rental. It's clean, comfy, great shower, nice bed, plush towels and has a well-stocked kitchen. The neighborhood feels safe and has various transportation options (bus, subway, electric trolley) that are all within a leisurely 1-10 minute walk from your door. Lots of options for food are within 5-10 minute walk of your door too...including a grocery store if you decide to cook at “home”. I searched numerous places (both VRBOs and hotels) and after showing him all the options, he picked this place. He absolutely loved it and I did too. It’s a great find…. try it… you’ll be happy that you did. Hints: Try Mama Ji's for lunch - best Dim Sum around …especially the shrimp cilantro dumplings....yum. Take in a baseball game if you can (dress in layers) …go Giants! Go for Golden Gate Park Segway tour … we’re both 60 years young and had no problem. For breath-taking views, bike across the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito (Note: you WILL be sore afterwards; they don't call it "Blazing Saddles" for nothing!). There's great museums, endless restaurants, bars and live music, there's Muir Woods, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, cable car rides, etc, etc. etc. The list just goes on. You will run out of time far before you run out of things to do and explore. And best of all…. this apartment is a great jumping off point for doing as much or as little as you choose!!!"
