"This was our first visit to SF and also our first time booking with VBRO, so we were a little apprehensive that we had chosen the right location and that all would be fine with the booking. We had no need to worry, everything was fantastic. We couldn't have chosen a better location or a better place to stay. The apartment is spacious, spotless and very well equipped. It is so comfortable and after a whole day out sightseeing a delight to go back to,relax and recharge for the next outing.
We found the public transport system very convenient from this location with a stop practically outside the door or just a short walk to the MUNI. Initially we thought we might hire a car but there really was no need.
With so many great restaurants, cafes and grocery stores within a short walk or bus ride from the apartment, we found that the only time we ventured further afield in the evening was when we went to the SF Jazz Centre (which was amazing) and a few other music clubs. I love shopping for artisan foods and could have spent hours in Bi-Rite which was a short distance from the apartment. Great place for picking up something tasty for dinner on the nights we were too tired to go out. Also just a short walk away is Tartine, famous for it's sour dough bread,be prepared for a bit of a wait in the queue.
I can't recommend Interlude highly enough and if we are fortunate enough to visit again I would not even look at booking elsewhere. Prior to our arrival, all emails to our hosts were answered fully and promptly and it was good to know they were in the building should we need anything."

"Upon arrival we were so pleasantly welcomed by our host, Guillermo. This private, comfortable, well appointed apartment suited our needs splendedly! The furnishings are stylish and the kitchen complete, so we were able to enjoy leisurely mornings without the need to rush out. Having access to the washer/dryer allowed another convenience after having been on the road prior to arrival. A nearby bus line (near Safeway grocery), and a short walk to the Castro neighborhood, we reacquainted to San Francisco easily. So pleased were we that we look forward to returning next year. Many thanks, Guillermo!"

"This is a great house that made us feel like we were visiting the real San Francisco. Four business associates stayed while in town for a show at Moscone Center. The location is convenient to transportation and walking for eating. I wish we had another week in town to explore the area. I must also say that literally the first person we saw walking down the street when we pulled up was naked. So be prepared for a real SF experience and just go with the flow.
The house was large and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and Elizabeth & Anthony made us feel very welcome to stay and care for it as if we were at home. There is much evidence of family & family activities around the house and a lot of the kids artwork on the walls. If you expect sterile and clean with no evidence of anyone else having been there then this place is not ideal for you, but if warm and homey are good with you, then settle on in.
The fact that it has a garage made renting a car easy. The garage is a bit difficult to get in and out of and will probably take the effort of two people (a guide) until you are used to it, but it is a plus. I see someone else commented also, the issue is the incline makes visibility difficult and the pedestrians, traffic, parked cars and a nice tree in a bad place make it hard to manage without experience.
Bottom line is I would go stay again without hesitation and I think that is the best recommendation I could give."

"We arrived at 2.00pm when check in was at 4.00pm so I asked Patty if there was a possibility for us 5 (amongst us 2 ladies ages 80 and 73) just to pop in to leave or luggage and come back after 4.00 The answer was yes but the cost would be of 50$ !!!!! "it is for the inconvenience of the house keeper, since she has to work around the luggage" !!!
I doubt the housekeeper got a cent from this money.
Nevertheless I must say we enjoyed the house which was exaclty as we expected, with a fantastic view, charming neighbourhood, shops 10mn walking. Reaching dowtown takes a bit of time but we knew that before renting the apartment. It was not a problem for us.
Bedding was very confortable.
Now a few things I wouldn't have mentioned if I hadn't had pay this extra charge:
we kept the toilet doorhandle in hand when closing door. We had the same problem with the tap handle, same room. The pans handles were sticky and a there were a few stains on the walls probably left by travellers luggage as well as some handprints.
The facade needs to be repainted, the painting is peeling (one can consider it gives charm to the property).
We have never met the person in charge of the property nor the owner."
