"Did not touch the car for three days - public transport right on the doorstep. The apartment was just as described, with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. Felt so at home. Loved the little touch of fresh fruit and cheese as a welcome. We were concerned on arrival about the renovations taking place next door, but the builders were considerate of guests, so not a problem. Local information from the owners was extremely useful. Great communication, and very easy to book. One request would be for some storage/drawers in second bedroom. Would highly recommend, and can't wait to come back!"Guest: Kate Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: May 15, 2014View listing
"This is a beautiful and true garden apartment. We arrived in the evening and were greeted in the unit by the owner. He was very friendly and accommodating. I apprecated how communicative he was prior to our arrival. He provided information about the neighborhood, surrounding areas and transportation options. The apartment is very well equipped with all amenities and some extras (desktop, TV w/ cable, music options, books, etc). The kitchen was superb. It had eveything we needed (spices, utensils, beautiful place settings) to cook and serve dinners like we would at home. The garden is so beautiful and it's BIG, with ample seating. The building is very quiet, the location is safe and within walking distance to everything happening in the Castro district. We will definitely look to rent this unit in the future."Guest: GiGi Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 9, 2014View listing
"We arrived at 2.00pm when check in was at 4.00pm so I asked Patty if there was a possibility for us 5 (amongst us 2 ladies ages 80 and 73) just to pop in to leave or luggage and come back after 4.00 The answer was yes but the cost would be of 50$ !!!!! "it is for the inconvenience of the house keeper, since she has to work around the luggage" !!! I doubt the housekeeper got a cent from this money. Nevertheless I must say we enjoyed the house which was exaclty as we expected, with a fantastic view, charming neighbourhood, shops 10mn walking. Reaching dowtown takes a bit of time but we knew that before renting the apartment. It was not a problem for us. Bedding was very confortable. Now a few things I wouldn't have mentioned if I hadn't had pay this extra charge: we kept the toilet doorhandle in hand when closing door. We had the same problem with the tap handle, same room. The pans handles were sticky and a there were a few stains on the walls probably left by travellers luggage as well as some handprints. The facade needs to be repainted, the painting is peeling (one can consider it gives charm to the property). We have never met the person in charge of the property nor the owner."Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 7, 2014View listing
"It's really easy to get around San Francisco without a car if you stay here and there are great places to eat really nearby. After happily having gone out to eat repeatedly, we were looking for a quiet place to meet a couple of important people and we had the wonderful idea of inviting them to join us for a carry-in dinner. Perfect! We did not even need the dining room since there were only 4 of us; the kitchen had a great atmosphere and we could talk so much better than in a restaurant. If I were returning, I would reserve the same place."Guest: M Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 16, 2014View listing
