Lovely apartment and very helpful and informative staff!
"Casa Luna was gorgeous and exactly as pictured on this website and their video on the Casa Luna website. We stayed in the Garden Apt., which is the first floor of the house (#4060.) It was beautiful -- hardwood floors, comfy beds, (they even iron the sheets!) lovely little garden, gorgeous kitchen with every amenity you could think of...for those of you who cook, lol. (Loved the Audrey Hepburn photo in the kitchen!) A MUNI station is just steps away, and we found the staff there to be quite helpful as to which lines to take to get around.
It was the personal touches that stayed with me: Wyatt kept in close touch in the weeks leading up to our stay, sending us several articles and links regarding things to do in San Fran. Most helpful was the neighborhood map which included points of interest. There were also plenty of guidebooks available in the apartment. (Other little extras we used were the full-size bottles of Lavender shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and lotion that are provided, as well as the hairdryer and ibuprofen we found tucked away.) If in need, there is a grocery and a pharmacy nearby. And I enjoyed my morning tea daily from the variety of Stash teas provided.
At one point, we had problems with late-night noise coming from neighbors elsewhere on the property (the Carriage House, below us, it turned out.) I called Wyatt and he promptly answered (at 12:30AM!) and took care of it himself -- problem solved in 10 minutes. Wyatt really goes out of his way to make sure your trip is the best. Thank you to all at Casa Luna!"

"Our stay at this apartment was so enjoyable because it had every thing we needed. The kitchen is small, but included plenty of dishes, glasses, cooking equipment, etc. The bed and linens were fresh and comfortable. There is adequate storage and a nice dining table, couch and side chairs make relaxing pleasant. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, friendly and every sort of commercial need is easily met - coffee shop, food markets, restaurants, pharmacy and the metro stop is two blocks away. Eileen is most accommodating and helped us out with every request. I highly recommend this apartment for a single person or a couple."

"We arrived at 2.00pm when check in was at 4.00pm so I asked Patty if there was a possibility for us 5 (amongst us 2 ladies ages 80 and 73) just to pop in to leave or luggage and come back after 4.00 The answer was yes but the cost would be of 50$ !!!!! "it is for the inconvenience of the house keeper, since she has to work around the luggage" !!!
I doubt the housekeeper got a cent from this money.
Nevertheless I must say we enjoyed the house which was exaclty as we expected, with a fantastic view, charming neighbourhood, shops 10mn walking. Reaching dowtown takes a bit of time but we knew that before renting the apartment. It was not a problem for us.
Bedding was very confortable.
Now a few things I wouldn't have mentioned if I hadn't had pay this extra charge:
we kept the toilet doorhandle in hand when closing door. We had the same problem with the tap handle, same room. The pans handles were sticky and a there were a few stains on the walls probably left by travellers luggage as well as some handprints.
The facade needs to be repainted, the painting is peeling (one can consider it gives charm to the property).
We have never met the person in charge of the property nor the owner."

"Cozy, ground floor one bedroom in the Castro was just as advertised. King-size bed was especially comfortable, kitchenette and laundry was compact but fully functional, and the living area big enough for exercising. Upstairs owners are attentive and helpful. Easy parking nearby, in the middle of the Castro neighborhood, Twin Peaks and Buena Vista park, excellent alternative to a hotel. We didn't use the fire pit or hot tub, but both were available."
