  • Great house for a group

"This is a great house that made us feel like we were visiting the real San Francisco. Four business associates stayed while in town for a show at Moscone Center. The location is convenient to transportation and walking for eating. I wish we had another week in town to explore the area. I must also say that literally the first person we saw walking down the street when we pulled up was naked. So be prepared for a real SF experience and just go with the flow. The house was large and well appointed. Everything we needed was there and Elizabeth & Anthony made us feel very welcome to stay and care for it as if we were at home. There is much evidence of family & family activities around the house and a lot of the kids artwork on the walls. If you expect sterile and clean with no evidence of anyone else having been there then this place is not ideal for you, but if warm and homey are good with you, then settle on in. The fact that it has a garage made renting a car easy. The garage is a bit difficult to get in and out of and will probably take the effort of two people (a guide) until you are used to it, but it is a plus. I see someone else commented also, the issue is the incline makes visibility difficult and the pedestrians, traffic, parked cars and a nice tree in a bad place make it hard to manage without experience. Bottom line is I would go stay again without hesitation and I think that is the best recommendation I could give."

  • It was a treat for all!

"We had 9 in our group visiting San Francisco to celebrate our son's wedding. Most of our group consisted of seniors 65-70 yrs. old. It was perfect. Those who didn't want to bother with the stairs stayed on the top floor and used the elevator. Others used the stairs. Beds were comfortable. The house enabled all to spread out and achieve privacy if need be. We were entertained notably by the views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. But we also enjoyed just sitting and watching people and their techniques for tackling the hills, and boat and automobile traffic. We were from different parts of the U.S. Never completely getting on west coast time, we awoke to a beautifully lit, quiet city and enjoyed the sun start to light the GGB. Sunsets were glorious. Make sure you look behind the house to watch the windows of the skyscrapers look as though they are on fire. It was great fun to observe SF after dark. The Palace of Fine Arts is beautiful. One evening there even was a drone flying about! At least we were pretty sure that's what it was. Hardly had the TV on. The house is vast and comfortable enabling everyone to catch up with their news. It couldn't have worked out better! We only had a problem with the internet and the owners/managers were quick to help us out. For groceries, Safeway is down in the Marina District. Not far but you will need to drive. However, for last minute items we walked to Green Street Market. If you need a place to accommodate a large group I don't think you can do better. Everyone went home with fond memories."

  • Weekend away from Vegas

"Four of us did a "get away" weekend in San Francisco and loved having Linda as our hostess for this rental of hers. The location is so perfect---we were able to ride the bus everywhere with only one block (short block) to the stops. We walked to dinner at a couple restaurants she had listed---had awesome meals at Mesculanza and Burma Superstar. Linda's welcome basket was wonderful--wine, chocolate, shopping bag for groceries (how thoughtful!), even a souvenir key chain for one house key! While the rental is not super fancy, it has been updated and is totally comfortable and cute---nice towels are a great advantage! The owners seem to understand what "visiting" requires---hair dryer, some makeup remover wipes, the basic spices, etc. We totally loved it here and will definitely rent again if we have the chance to go back! The only disadvantage for two couples is that the second bedroom has bunk beds---however the bottom one is a double so conceivably a couple could do bottom bunk only---we are so used to king sized beds, I found it easier to just do the upper bunk thing. Loved how close we were to Golden Gate Park and Land's End---the location couldn't really be any better!"

  • Amazing Studio

"Staying at Jennifer's studio in Bernal Heights, made our stay in San Francisco awesome. The place is well set up and cozy. Jennifer is a phenomenal host. Check in is at 4, but our flight got in at 11. I told her we would just drive around eat and start exploring. But i got an email from her saying she was able to get the place cleaned ip a day before so we could get settled in early. That was very nice of her. Also coming from New York it was a 6 hour flight, my wife who was 10 weeks pregnant was craving fruit when we got to the studio, when we arrived we saw Jennifer had some bananas and english muffins for us to snack on including milk and wine in the fridge. The studio is well set up in a very hip but family oriented neighborhood. Jennifer is so amazing she has mapped out Bernal Heights with great local restaurants and attractions. Jennifer has a cooler and jaccuzi available for us. She even lets you pick lemons from her lemon tree she has growing in the yard. I would recommend this studio to any of my friends heading to SanFran. It's located outside of downtown, but that was fine for us it as downtown was only a 20min drive."
