"My fiance and I recently stayed in this rental and it worked great for us! We are already watching flight deals and plan to stay at this property again. Although the space is small is it adequate for two people who aren't in San Francisco to spend time in a hotel but to be out exploring the city. It is within walking distance of the BART, street cars and bus. Delores Park has a fantastic view of the city skyline and it was a great location to take our coffee and pastry from Tartine Bakery and watch the neighborhood come alive each morning. Ingrid has made the space very user friendly and has all the basics a person needs for comfortable living including wifi! Our only recommendation would be to get new pillows, but that might be a personal preference that we prefer a firmer more substantial pillow. The bed and duvet/comforter were very cozy and comfortable for sleeping. The shower has excellent hot water supply that feels great after walking the hills of SF. It is a clean and safe property as well."Guest: EastmeetsWest Date of Stay: October 2013 Review Submitted: October 21, 2013View listing
"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Jennifer's studio suite on our recent visit with our son and his wife. The accommodations were everything we could have hoped for and more. The attention to detail and Jennifer's added touches were amazing. The beautiful backyard with the lemon tree was an added bonus. The suite itself was spotless, bright and cheery. We look forward to returning on our next visit."Guest: Sandi & Tom Date of Stay: April 2014 Review Submitted: April 28, 2014View listing
"I selected this vacation rental due to its location, being walking distance to many attractions in the Castro (and MUNI). I stayed here for five nights with a group of six people. There was more than enough space for our group, and everything was just as described (or better) when we arrived. The group kept asking me, "How did you find this place?" Views from almost every room are spectacular, and the photos on VRBO don't do this place justice. You have to see it to believe it! The appliances are top of the line, but nothing beats the view from the upstairs bathroom. Booking this rental was easy, and the owners provided detailed instructions on what to expect, and how to use everything in the home. The nearby grocery store was a definite plus, and the Keurig in the kitchen was a nice bonus too!"Guest: Coty R. Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 11, 2014View listing
"We are five fortunate women, friends for 50+ years, who flew in from East and West coasts to meet at Jean's lovely perch atop Telegraph Hill for four memorable days of fun, food, and laughter during a sunny week in June. This apartment is a perfect, convenient North Beach location, at the peaceful dead end of a centrally located street, up a staircase to an extremely clean and comfortable second-floor apartment. Excellent beds and linens helped us sleep well (when upstairs neighbor stopped his night-time vacuuming) after lots of hill climbing and a challenging bicycle adventure across the Golden Gate Bridge. Jean provided thoughtful touches throughout - the large high-end kitchen was stocked with coffee, fruits, chocolates, spices, bottled water, half-and-half, plus plenty of nice cookware, dishes, and utensils. We loved the library and all the mirrors, but never got around to using the ever-present pool table. Our favorite special touch was the rooftop terrace, with easy access via outside stairs and outfitted with comfortable chairs and a table for relaxing amid an incredible 360-degree view of SF and surroundings, including both landmark bridges. So lovely, especially early morning and at night. We appreciated info and helpful tips from owner Jean, long-time SF resident who lives nearby and was present in a low-key, non-intrusive way. We really felt we belonged in the neighborhood! We chose our restaurants wisely and highly recommend Greens (at Fort Mason), Yank Sing (for dim sum), Amber (Indian), and the famous Chez Panisse (Berkeley) which absolutely lived up to the hype. After our 5-star prix fixe dinner, we were surprised by a brief, exciting tour of the Chez Panisse kitchen! We did not want or need a car, and found it easy to get around by foot, bicycle (recommend Blazing Saddles rental), taxi, and BART. We cannot imagine a better base for a family or group of friends, whatever the reason for San Francisco visit. We'd love to return for a longer stay. Thank you so much, Jean, for making us feel at home in your beautiful home!"Guest: Julia G. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 1, 2014View listing
