"My family of 3 stayed in this wonderful home for 4 nights in a wonderful part of San Francisco. Plenty of room and privacy for couple and teenage son. Everything you could possibly need for your stay was provided in the home including use of all electronic equipment such as internet, laptop, tv, dvd player, etc. Wonderful, large kitchen, facilities like washer/dryer which were invaluable, beautiful garden out back where you could sit quietly with a cuppa; local supermarket was 2 mins away and bus stops to take you downtown or to see Golden Gate Bridge all within easy walking distance. The home has a fabulous manual for FAQ. Booked trip to Alcatraz and again no problem getting to the pier from the home via public transport. 30 min taxi ride to the airport. Communciation with David the homeowner was easy and straightforward with excellent instructions and tips for our arrival. Would recommend this place in a hearbeat! You won't find better!"

"Since we were only in SF for a few days, I wanted a place that was in a walkable area but not too touristy. I considered hotels, but the price point wasn't where I wanted so I checked vrbo for options and came across this great property.
Dealing with Navin via email was a breeze. Normally most owners ask for a deposit but in this case, I didn't have to send an early deposit (I only booked a few weeks beforehand).
Location: Great spot in between Castro/Mission districts. One block from Dolores Park (which is currently being renovated) and tons of eateries, bars and things to do. There is a small brewery 200 ft. away! The only issue you might have is parking. We were always able to find some type of street parking on the main street or one block over (if you're staying during the week, it might be a bit tough with the time restrictions).
Property: Private door to the bottom floor studio. There is an indoor door to the 2nd floor level, so I guess if you wanted to rent the whole house you could. While it's a studio, it's a very large space. The bed is comfortable and the sofa bed sleeps one. I do wish the bathroom was just a standalone shower -- the current clawfoot setup splashes water onto the beadboard, which creates mold on the wall.
Kitchen is great and even has a wine fridge!
Overall, great stay in a great neighborhood. Would definitely rent here again if I came back to SF!"

"We were looking for a house that could accommodate 8 family members comfortably in a robust location. We found our match in the Castro district with this home. First, the house was absolutely spotless from top to bottom. Second, there was plenty of room for our entire party - each couple and both teenagers had their own rooms and access to one of the four bathrooms –there was no arguing over who was using them. The bathrooms were well appointed with plenty of clean towels, soap and shampoo, and soft robes. Third, with my brother and I being the ‘cooks’ of the family, we were more than happy to see the kitchen well stocked with basic provisions, high-end appliances and sufficient kitchen tools to meet our discerning needs. The only thing that was really missing were sharper knives! Regardless, we were able to cook problem-free five of the six nights of our stay. Finally, the garden area was also great with a BBQ where we all took turns basking in the sun and enjoying the December SF weather.
The home was very well located and within walking distance to interesting areas such as Castro, the Mission District and Haight-Ashbury. It was also a surprisingly short underground ride to the Union Square shopping district, Chinatown and the Ferry Terminal. For groceries, a Safeway and Whole Foods were close by (within a 15 minute walk) as well as a couple of convenience and liquor stores within an even shorter distance.
In summary the house was everything as advertised. Sharon was great from start to finish – we could not have asked for a better host. She even helped us get a parking pass for the week. We would not hesitate to rent this house again next time we are in San Francisco – perhaps even next year!"

"I organized a trip for 9 people to SF and rented this unit and the unit above. The location was perfect - Castro area - close to Muni, restaurants, bars, etc. The units were both very spacious and the bedrooms are on either end allowing more privacy. Decor was classic SF style but could use some updating. My only concern with the experience was the response from the owner/property manager. A few days prior arrival to SF, I called and emailed the owner. Voicemail was full and no response from email. If we had had a problem getting in the unit, i wonder what we would have done. After departure I emailed then called the owner to let her know we were gone and ask about the deposit return. Voicemail still full and no response on email. I finally called VRBO to submit a request/complaint and the deposit was refunded within a few days. I understand owners (I've had a property listed on VRBO) have lots of inquiries from non-renters and renters, and may not have alot of time to respond. But I spent a fair amount of $ on these properties and no response close to arrival or after departure can tend make me a bit anxious."
