  • Stay here if you are visiting San Francisco

"This apt is a great place to stay if you are visiting SF. The pictures don't really do it justice. It's spacious, extremely clean, and has lots of extras such as magazines, books, premium cable channels, thick towels/washcloths, great showerhead, etc. David and Karen also greeted us with a nice bottle of wine and a fruit basket! The home is modern where it counts yet still has many of the original Victorian touches. This was our first time in this wonderful city and we wanted to see as many sites as possible. Staying in the Haight was great because everything was easily accessible. There is a gourmet market very close to the apt on Haight St. We also shopped at the Lucky supermarket which is a short bus ride away. The prices are really good at this supermarket. We walked from the apt through Golden Gate park and got to see the AIDS Memorial Grove on the way to the Academy of Science. The bus is one block away and connects to other buses, trains, and trolleys. I highly suggest purchasing a City Pass if you plan to see the sites. If going to Alcatraz, get the City Pass from their site. You should also make a reservation for that tour before getting there. The City Pass contains a transit coupon that's good for 9 days from the date you put on it and can be used for all types of public transportation. To be honest, none of the trolley/bus drivers even looked at the date, just the pass book. David was a great host and very helpful! We truly enjoyed our week in SF including experiencing tremors from the Sonoma earthquake a few hours before we left to go home!!!"

  • Truly Fantastic Apartment and Truly Fantastic Location!

"Never having been to San Francisco before I think we hit the jackpot with this apartment! Firstly the apartment itself which is in a beautiful 19th Century Victorian building with high ceilings and original features, cool art throughout, great comfy bed, good shower /bath etc. Secondly the owners who were great, really helpful they made us feel right at home and recommended some fantastic places to eat and drink in the neighbourhood And then there’s the neighbourhood – honestly I don’t think we could have stayed anywhere better – if you like independent shops and galleries, cool restaurants and non-touristy bars then this is definitely the place to stay – easy transport links too. Cannot recommend this place highly enough - seriously there’s no need to look anywhere else! Hope to stay here again real soon!"

  • Fantastic Home in the Presidio

"Thank you for having such a beautiful home. I did not know what to expect, but it was more than my family could have wished for in a house rental. The house was very large and clean, and we are a family of five and we all had our own space. While the house had all the modern amenities, the charm of this Victorian home was present everywhere. The home is on a very pretty dead end street and from the kitchen you can see easily see the Presidio golf course. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful so it made sleeping a bit later in the morning quite easy. The kitchen had every gadget and within walking distance you can shop at two markets. One had very excellent prepared foods. The food is pretty remarkable in San Francisco and I grew up in NYC. We made visits to Golden Gate Park, played golf course twice and went to Planet Granite. I had never been to San Francisco before but the charm of the house would entice me to come back. I do hope the state of California get some well needed rain."

  • Home away from home

"My wife and I stayed here and loved it! The location makes it very easy to get almost anywhere. Castro street is just down the road and it made getting to places so easy. We stayed in Portrero Hill two years ago and while nice, preferred this location. The flat is nice and comfortable. At times we would spend the entire day with windows open just reading and relaxing. It really was wonderful. I'm an avid runner and found this location to be a great central hub to go on runs and explore a bit given how close we were to many landmarks. One side note, some may complain about parking, but really it was not a challenge at all. If you are okay with walking just a bit you'll have no trouble. Just mind the street signs and parking will be a distant memory. We stayed for 7 days and never had a problem with parking. This includes during the pride parade that was taking place upon our arrival. You really can't miss with this spot as the hosts are very prompt and gracious. We would most definitely consider staying here again."

Duboce Triangle Travel Tips

Walk to Attractions From Duboce Triangle Vacation Homes

Staying in one of the Duboce Triangle vacation homes will put you in the heart of the action in this hip area of San Francisco. Only one of the neighborhoods available with San Francisco vacation rentals, Duboce Triangle has many attractions to keep you busy during your holiday.

Duboce Triangle vacation apartments and homes are just blocks away from Alamo Square and the famous "Painted Ladies," those Victorian homes painted in all their glorious color. You can also take a stroll to Golden Gate Park where it's possible to spend a day enjoying attractions such as museums, flowers and buffalo. Buena Vista Park is also nearby where you can enjoy views of San Francisco Bay and the city itself.

Other attractions within walking distance of the Duboce Triangle vacation homes include museums, the Haight/Ashbury district, art galleries and Union Square.

Dine Out or In: The Choice is Yours

When you rent one of the Duboce Triangle vacation apartments or homes, you will be close to a great selection of restaurants and night time entertainment. Bakeries and cafes dot the neighborhood. But if you're in the mood for staying in after a day of sightseeing, you have that choice since your vacation rental comes with a kitchen. While you're out seeing your favorite attractions, stop for a bag of groceries, some San Francisco sourdough bread and a bottle of wine. Then relax in your vacation home and cook up a leisurely meal.

Just Like Home

After the meal, kick back on the sofa or easy chair and watch a movie or listen to music. Many of the Duboce Triangle vacation apartments come with satellite television and DVD and CD players. You might have a nice view, a patio or deck and for that dinner you're cooking, your rental might include a barbecue.
