"We stayed here for 3 nights and only wish we could have stayed longer! This was our first time using VRBO and visiting San Francisco...we will definitely be doing both again! The apartment was exactly as pictured and even better in person. It was very clean, spacious, wonderfully decorated and quite amazing how every little thing you needed was right where it should be. The location could not be more perfect. We did not rent a car until we (unfortunately) had to leave for a wedding in Napa and did not need it. We walked everywhere! Sherry was excellent, quick to respond and has fabulous restaurant recommendations (I am in love with Sotto Mare and can still taste the crab diavola. Yum!). This was a true gem in a lovely neighborhood. Thank you, Sherry!!"

"We (family of four) stayed at Clipper Cottage for 5 nights... two adults, a three year old and a one year old. Our stay was so incredibly comfortable that I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are travelling with little ones. Carla provided us with everything we needed from a playpen to highchair to toys and books. The cottage was very clean and child-friendly. The location in Noe Valley is wonderful and has access to restaurants, banks, Whole Foods and parks. Although it is only a one-bedroom, the living room area with sofa bed is off to the side and can easily be used as another bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked, laundry is on site and the skylights provide plenty of natural light. Plus, the outdoor garden area was a beautiful place to sit in and relax after a long day of sightseeing. We can't wait to visit again. Thanks so much Carla!"

"Kate was very helpful in arranging the place, and providing everything we needed for the stay. Generally very easy to get a hold of, all issues sorted out in short order, and all questions were answered quickly. The place itself is up a hill that is up a hill- very San Fran! While there seems to be some hostel-ish sort of establishment nearby, we were never bothered by it. On some occasions, we got back late at night and felt safe in the area although being down a small side street, probably best to use the buddy system.
The property itself is "charming" - a bit older in terms of style and furnishings, but nothing that you don't see up front in the photos. We felt that everything was about as expected, with a usable kitchen, living room, dining area in addition to the bedrooms. Just be aware that one of the bathrooms is downstairs and the other is upstairs (whereas both bedrooms are upstairs). We took a day trip out to Napa Valley and the car rental place (National, in this case) was less than 5 minutes away, couldn't have asked for anything more convenient! Unless you're looking for ultra-modern (and willing to pay at least twice the price), this is a great find and a lovely base for your stay!"

"This rental is in a great location, is clean, private, and spacious. It was easy to get in and out, and a handy binder for guests included everything you needed to know about the rental and local Dogpatch area. We were out and about quite a bit, and the 22 bus and KT tram stops were just around the corner (I recommend purchasing a Muni pass). We also liked the layout of the rental and how the bedroom was off from the main room. I wish there was a small tv to watch before winding down for bed, but I'm not going to knock off any stars as it was clearly stated there wasn't one when booking. Wifi was a bonus to look up things on your phone, tablet, computer, but I wasn't able to use it for any sustained streams (like Netflix). Overall, we would definitely stay here again. Katherine and Jared are great hosts and were very friendly and helpful."
