"I stayed in this flat as one of 3 couples for a reunion trip in San Francisco. The space was clean, large and accommodated the 6 adults and 1 baby very well. It was easy to take the bus to other public transit and we walked to GG park & Haight/Ashbury without any trouble. Peggy was responsive prior to arrival and we had everything we needed at the flat. Would rent again without hesitation."

"We were looking for a house that could accommodate 8 family members comfortably in a robust location. We found our match in the Castro district with this home. First, the house was absolutely spotless from top to bottom. Second, there was plenty of room for our entire party - each couple and both teenagers had their own rooms and access to one of the four bathrooms –there was no arguing over who was using them. The bathrooms were well appointed with plenty of clean towels, soap and shampoo, and soft robes. Third, with my brother and I being the ‘cooks’ of the family, we were more than happy to see the kitchen well stocked with basic provisions, high-end appliances and sufficient kitchen tools to meet our discerning needs. The only thing that was really missing were sharper knives! Regardless, we were able to cook problem-free five of the six nights of our stay. Finally, the garden area was also great with a BBQ where we all took turns basking in the sun and enjoying the December SF weather.
The home was very well located and within walking distance to interesting areas such as Castro, the Mission District and Haight-Ashbury. It was also a surprisingly short underground ride to the Union Square shopping district, Chinatown and the Ferry Terminal. For groceries, a Safeway and Whole Foods were close by (within a 15 minute walk) as well as a couple of convenience and liquor stores within an even shorter distance.
In summary the house was everything as advertised. Sharon was great from start to finish – we could not have asked for a better host. She even helped us get a parking pass for the week. We would not hesitate to rent this house again next time we are in San Francisco – perhaps even next year!"

"We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a more than a month. It is situated in the backyard of the house, a private and quite place; backyards, filled up with trees and flowers, surround the cottage.
We loved the sunny bedroom, walking closet and the large bathroom unsuited.
The facilities are good and when you need something Nancy Leavens, the owner, is always very helpful.
Cow Hollow is a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of nice and fancy shops, restaurants and bars in the Chestnut- and the Union Street. The Golden Gate Bride and the Presidio Park are nearby. The Presidio has nice restaurants where you can go for a drink, a meal or an interesting lecture. Every Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon they organize the Off the Grid meetings: a lot of food trucks and a great picnic.
Within 10 minutes by buss, you will be in the center of the town or nearby Fisherman’s Wharf. Nancy helps you to settle in the neighborhood and she will inform you about the local markets, events etc. We had a great time with Nancy and her lovely dogs and we will come back for sure!"

"I drove to The City on this trip and appreciated that parking was not restricted on this block - a huge advantage - and that the #6 bus stopped just across the street. This tiny unit uses its space to good advantage; I particularly appreciated the kitchen amenities. It is quiet. San Francisco was going through a cold snap when I was there but the unit was warm enough. The bed was comfortable. My only quibble is that the only window opens onto a small interior space - if like me you feel most comfortable with an open window nearby even in cold weather, that's a drawback. The owners leave a list of nearby markets and laundries, as well as small bookcase of reading material. Hope someone has enjoyed the copy of a Tina Fey book I added!"
