"We were coming from France, we have discovered a street, a house and a flat like in the films ! The flat is very pleasant and clean. It's quiet, you can come with your family or with friends, the 2 rooms are large. The terrasse is very nice with all the green plants, we had a beautiful sunshine and sunbathed. For our tours to Alcatraz, Market street...the buses lines 21 and 71 are really near the flat.
Our choice was the good one and we'll keep the adress"

"Stayed here as parents and three young adult kids. Mick the owner was a pleasure to work with, and even got us a visitor's parking permit which made things really easy. The location is amazing -walk to Golden Gate Park, walk to everything in Haight Ashbury, and the view of a bit of the Pacific really helped. The apartment is really comfortable -not big - but very comfortable. The upstairs shower in a hallway took some getting used to (ask Mick!) but it made a great talking point!. There's a gorgeous fireplace to sit around and read in the evenings. We had a car so didn't use public transport much - but the kids did, and said it was a breeze. Supermarket very close by, and downtown SF is a 12 minute ride away (at least when we were there for Christmas week) .
I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Oh, and we had a week of clear blue skies and 60 degree weather in December included. Make sure you ask for that deal."

"We loved our stay here, as per usual! There were 6 of us in our group, and we had a comfortable 4 night stay. We were in the 2 bedroom unit, and the bedrooms were very quiet, you couldn't hear any street noise. Two of us slept on the couche in the living room and the couches were more comfortable than our own air mattress. You can hear some street noise in the living room, but this is a city! The unit has one and half bath which was super convenient for a larger party. The deep tub looked awesome, but sadly we didn't have time to use it. The shower pressure was great, we always had hot water, and we had plenty of towels available for use. We used the kitchen everyday (has a dishwasher), and there's a washer and dryer, which is a nice perk.
The location is perfect! There are great restaurants, a wonderful grocer, and access to public transportation all within walking distance. The best place to walk to though is The Little Shamrock bar, which is only a couple blocks away. Not only is it a great bar to hang out in (favorite in SF!), but the owners bought us a round of drinks and their staff treated us like royalty (they own the bar and apt and you get a password!). An absolute must do! In regards to parking, we didn't rent a car this time, but our local friends who met us at the apartment found close parking.
To sum up, this place is an absolute gem! I've stayed at both of the owner's apartments, and they are equally amazing. During every visit, the owner has been available to answer all questions and made sure we were comfortable the entire visit. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else I'm in SF. We are very grateful to have this home away from home available to us."

"Our family of 4 adults met at the Duck's Nest for 4 days of fun in San Francisco. This apartment was GREAT - one of our best VRBO experiences. It is charming, comfortable and clean. The location is excellent - we spent quite a bit of time exploring Golden Gate Park. We were able to pick up the light rail to get to AT and T park for a Giants game. We spent hours out in the city, and were so happy to come back to the Duck's Nest at the end of the day. The apartment is very well supplied with all the little things to make life enjoyable - travel mugs, wine glasses, nice towels, extra shampoo, etc. There is a wealth of information in the apartment regarding the neighborhood and the city. We had a great time! I highly recommend this apartment! Thanks Rob!"
