  • Aunty's Place

"The apartment is ideally located to take full advantage of San Francisco such as Hayes Valley, the Haight, the Marina, Pacific Heights, Japan Town, Civic Center and the Ferry Building. With few exceptions most destinations are walkable but also by bus. It comes with a parking space which makes it more convenient. Shirley is like an Aunt who has thoughtfully prepared for a relative's visit. The apartment has every detail accounted for from band aids, racket ball equipment and robes for the jacuzzi. Yes it has a full health club and outdoor heated swimming pool. It is like a five star hotel on steroids. I would have stayed there longer but alas it is fully booked through December 2014."

  • Great Apartment

"I would like to say thanks to Di for making our stay so fantastic. First time in San Francisco and unsure about the safe areas (family with an 8 year old) Di was very helpful and alleviated all of my worries. We walked every day to town (market street) - ok we are Aussies, so maybe used to walking, but it was safe and easy. Staying in a nice area one street away from restaurants and a Walgreens on every corner (so handy)! the apartment was exactly as advertised and great to have access to a washing machine. Di was very helpful with tourist information. We walked all over the city, so there is no need to use the transport system, if you dont want to. We also got a hop on and off bus to see the sights which worked really well for us."

  • Experience SF like a local

"My husband and I just returned from spending a thrilling week in SF where we stayed in this very comfortable apartment. This was our first VRBO. The owners made the whole experience easy and straight-forward. The apartment is the best of all worlds. Very close to MUNI (bus) transportation, shops and restaurants, yet still extremely quiet because the unit is well off the street through a secured gate along a lovely garden path. Loved the wi-fi, spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen and spa-like bathroom with great hot water pressure in the oversized shower. What I liked best is that by renting this apartment you get to experience the city as a local. You can explore the hip and trendy neighborhood around you on foot or easily catch a bus to Golden Gate Park or any other part of the city. Lastly, the price of this charming place is 1/2 or 1/3 of what you will pay for a tiny room in a chain hotel (which won't include a kitchen, living room, and maybe not even wi-fi). Without reservation, I would recommend this apartment to others and it will easily be my first choice if/when we visit the city again."

  • Great spacious apartment in San Fran!

"We spent a week in this apartment and and had a great vacation! My husband and 2 adult children had a wonderful vacation and we had all the comforts of home! The location was great and we had the ability to walk to nearby restaurants. We also had a car during our stay and had no problem finding parking. This spacious apartment gave us the ability to "spread out" during our stay which is important while vacationing! On our return trip to San Fran, we wouldn't think twice about returning to this apartment and will make sure to recommend it to any of our friends and family who are looking for a place to stay while visiting the San Fran area! Thanks again for a fabulous visit!"

Hayes Valley Travel Tips

""Hayes Valley Vacation Homes are Perfect for Family Trips""

You would be hard-pressed to find a better San Francisco lodging situation than Hayes Valley vacation homes. Located right in the fashionable Hayes Valley neighborhood, the locale of these rental homes will give you a real taste of life in the beautiful city of San Francisco.

Hayes Valley vacation apartments will feel just like home. They feature a kitchen that lets you prepare healthy food and save money by not eating out every meal. The spacious interiors let you bring your children along, and many of the rentals also have backyards and are dog-friendly.

""Let the Shopping Commence""

Hayes Valley is full of boutiques that sell trendy, one-of-a-kind clothes. RAG (Residents Apparel Gallery) features women's clothes -- and sometimes men's garb -- made by talented designers who call the Bay Area home.

For high-fashion, top-quality vintage clothing and accessories, head to Ver Unica on Hayes Street. Also on Hayes is the versatile Zeni, which has something for everyone, from stylish and affordable clothes to high-end clothing and accessories from big-name designers. These and similar shops are the norm in the proximity of the Hayes Valley vacation apartments.

""Evening Fun and Famous Locales""

Hayes Valley is well-known as a night life destination. Hip restaurants and bars are strewn about the neighborhood and close to many Hayes Valley vacation apartments. At Absinthe, you can taste French wines inside or out on the sidewalk tables. The Suppenkuch features delicious German beers that draw big crowds almost every night.

The San Francisco vacation rentals also put you in the vicinity of places you might have seen on television. Across from Alamo Square Park is a row of Victorian-style houses called "Painted Ladies" on Steiner Street. These homes have been featured in numerous movies and televisions shows, most notably the opening credits of the beloved situation comedy, "Full House."
