"The apartment met our expectations in all respects and was ideal for our 10 days in San Francisco. It was more comfortable, cleaner, tidier and better stocked than we had experienced anywhere in many decades of renting apartments for our travels. We hired a small car for the duration of our stay as we needed to get around to a variety of places, so the parking in the apartment basement was great. For visits to Union Square and downtown SF, it was an easy twenty minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Hillstone Restaurant (a one minute walk away) and had a few good meals at Pier 39 (almost opposite the Hillstone) and in the Italian Sector (about a mile away). The broadband was excellent and the support from the owners was first class. We hope the apartment is available next time we visit SF."

"Wonderful place to stay on Potrero Hill. Charming 2 bedrooms with a great living room space and nicely furnished kitchen. The beds were comfortable. Everything you need as well as easy access to excellent dining, coffee, and exploratory walking. The owner was easy to work with and very interested in making our stay pleasant. We will definitely stay here again."

"The Penthouse in the Marina is absolutely stunning. It is perfectly located across from Fort Mason with amazing views of the Golden Gate bridge. We have always stayed at the Inn at the Presidio, but have never liked its lack of air conditioning. Now we have a new favorite place to stay! There is so much to like about this well appointed and charming property. There is a terrace off the living room that has incredible views of the the Golden Gate bridge and the bay, as well as the rooftop deck that has panoramic views of all of San Francisco. There is no furniture on the rooftop deck so we preferred to use that at night and enjoy the terrace during the day as there was better shade. It is located up several flights of stairs so groceries and lots of luggage might be difficult, but we parked for a few minutes right in front to unload and it did not seem to be a problem. There are two beds in one bedroom so it is certainly not an ideal property for two couples traveling, but for one couple or a few friends it would be very comfortable. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room I think, but there are no window coverings so I would not recommend this as a sleeping option. There is one bathroom and a well appointed kitchen. There are neighbors with children, but the noise from the other tenants was very minimal. They even had a party one night we were there and we heard very little from that apartment. We walked everywhere from this very central location and could not be happier with our choice. The penthouse really does have million dollar views. We hope we can stay here for all future visits to SF.
Note: The shower takes a long time to warm up but we discovered that turning on the water and turning the knob two and a half times clockwise and then letting it run for about 5 minutes before getting in worked out very well. Once it is hot you can adjust the temp quickly."

"Our family of 6 stayed in the penthouse for 4 nights between Xmas and New Years. Our main goal was to see the NFL game in Levi Stadium tacking on a few days to see SF. Not a prime location for the football game as the stadium is 2 hours south in Santa Clara, but it was ideal for sightseeing SF without a car. As mentioned in other reviews the condo is up a hill and 34 steps, but the effort is rewarded with wonderful views. The bathrooms had good water pressure for showers and nice towels. The living room is small but worked for the little amount if time we spent in it. There were several TVs but we never turned them on. Beds were very comfortable and rooms had lots of room for our luggage and clothing. Many italian restaurants nearby if heading west on Vallejo towards Columbus. Broadway just south of the condo was a little seedy and we avoided that area late at night but otherwise had no concerns with our safety walking to and from dinner spots. Wear your walking shoes and you can get to pretty much everything from this location. SF public transit is also excellent and we used it for further excursions. Will be back here for our next SF trip!"
