"Holly and David were exceptionally gracious, welcoming hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure things were as they should be in the unit. The location itself is ideal, well equipped and very close to the N Judah line and a number of great restaurants along Divisadero. Footsteps from upstairs can be audible, but never bothered me."

"The Penthouse in the Marina is absolutely stunning. It is perfectly located across from Fort Mason with amazing views of the Golden Gate bridge. We have always stayed at the Inn at the Presidio, but have never liked its lack of air conditioning. Now we have a new favorite place to stay! There is so much to like about this well appointed and charming property. There is a terrace off the living room that has incredible views of the the Golden Gate bridge and the bay, as well as the rooftop deck that has panoramic views of all of San Francisco. There is no furniture on the rooftop deck so we preferred to use that at night and enjoy the terrace during the day as there was better shade. It is located up several flights of stairs so groceries and lots of luggage might be difficult, but we parked for a few minutes right in front to unload and it did not seem to be a problem. There are two beds in one bedroom so it is certainly not an ideal property for two couples traveling, but for one couple or a few friends it would be very comfortable. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room I think, but there are no window coverings so I would not recommend this as a sleeping option. There is one bathroom and a well appointed kitchen. There are neighbors with children, but the noise from the other tenants was very minimal. They even had a party one night we were there and we heard very little from that apartment. We walked everywhere from this very central location and could not be happier with our choice. The penthouse really does have million dollar views. We hope we can stay here for all future visits to SF.
Note: The shower takes a long time to warm up but we discovered that turning on the water and turning the knob two and a half times clockwise and then letting it run for about 5 minutes before getting in worked out very well. Once it is hot you can adjust the temp quickly."

"Our family of six enjoyed our stay. The highlights include: lots of dishes and BIG coffee cups, well-stocked kitchen (spices, food wrap, pots and pans), comfy beds (love the bunk/single configuration) and grill on the balcony. Our hosts could not have been nicer! Location is perfect- coffee shop one block away, grocery store and bus stop a couple of blocks. Highly recommend as your SF home base!"

"My husband and I stayed three nights in this apartment and absolutely adored it. This was our first VRBO experience and first visit to San Francisco. The artsy loft is perfectly located (a short walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, Embarcadero, Chinatown, etc.) and steps to the Coit Tower are only a few blocks away with AMAZING views of the city. The place was very clean and had a lot of character. Sherry was extremely helpful and gave us phenomenal recommendations for food in the area. Listen carefully to her suggestions. This woman knows her stuff! We couldn't have asked for better food during our stay. A rental car would be a difficult choice for the location, as would any place in San Francisco. We took the BART from the airport to the Embarcadero station and walked to the apartment (15-20 min walk). Cabs are also easily accessible at the Embarcadero station and will take you directly to the apartment! We also used MUNI buses during our stay and found it to be a great mode of transportation. I could not express how much we enjoyed our time in San Francisco and our stay at this apartment. Thank you so much Sherry!!"
