  • Would stay here again!

"As other reviewers have stated, the photos don't do this apartment justice. It is roomy and was perfect for our family of two adults and two upper teen boys. The boys stayed on the futons that the owner had already made into beds when we arrived. It was clean, the closet had ample hangers, and the owners were helpful and available. There was street noise, but, hey, this is the city and we were still able to sleep. If you are driving to this apartment, note that free street parking is available, but you may have to drive around for a while to find it, and walk a few blocks. We felt safe leaving our car on the street overnight. The downside of having a car was that daytime free street parking requires that you park for only two hours. We had to drive our car to a parking garage near our daily destination and weren't able to take advantage public transportation. This apartment is a great find."

  • Great house and hosts

"Fantastic place to stay with great location and views. Owners went out of there way to make our stay the best it could be. We did not rent a car and used public transportation with no problem. Lots of information provided about what to do in the city, how to use public transportation, restaurants etc. House very well appointed with touches of owners sense of humor here and there! Loved it. Beautiful tiled stairway just a block away leading up to a 360 degree view of San Francisco. Thank you, John and Shelley"

  • Great place to stay in SF!

"My husband and I stayed in the Sunset View Apartment for 3 nights. Jim and Deborah welcomed us upon arrival and Jim took our luggage up to the apartment -- a huge help! The apartment itself is just as pictured. It's got a great view of the neighborhood, is very quiet, and in all, very comfortable. They have provided every need for travelers. In addition, the apartment is very convenient -- so many restaurants it's hard to choose, plus near-by public transportation, and of course, just a block or so away from Golden Gate park. In all, we highly recommend the apartment and hope to stay there again on a future trip."

  • Everything we were looking for

"This property is even more amazing than described and photographed here. It is light, airy -- almost beachy but sophisticated; kid-friendly but not kid focused. True to the neighborhood's name, our family enjoyed an amazing sunset from the dining room window on our first evening. The unit is very clean and pleasant with amenities including wi-fi, laundry, comfy beds, a well equipped kitchen, and an amazing deck to take in the gorgeous views and crisp San Francisco air. The owners clearly put a lot of thought and care into this place. We appreciated the binder of recommendations! My husband and I stayed here with our two children, ages 3 and 5, and found it to be the perfect launching pad for our day trips into Golden Gate Park/Crissy Field and Wharf/Chinatown. The N-Judah, one block north, might seem pokey at first but provides a very efficient trip to Powell/Union Sq. There is a fantastic grocery store (Andronico's) and many delicious restaurants within walking distance. Don't resist the urge to climb the beautiful tiled staircase across the street from the house! Keep going up and you will find Turtle Hill, which you can ascend to enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of the city! The only negative experience was a passive aggressive note from the downstairs neighbors on our first night, which they taped to the front door before ringing the doorbell and leaving. They asked us to "remember" that people lived below them and that the walls and floors were thin. Our young children do occasionally scamper (which we were subsequently more vigilant about) but we never wore shoes and kept decent hours. This did not dampen our stay, but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time that the walls were thin. Future guests might appreciate this info so that they and the neighbors could be spared the awkward interaction. All in all, we could not be more pleased with this property and would rent it again in a heartbeat if we were so lucky to return to San Francisco."

Inner Sunset Travel Tips

""Experience San Francisco With Inner Sunset Vacation Homes""

If you are going to San Francisco, you cannot go wrong with Inner Sunset vacation homes. These rentals put you in the heart of one of the city's greatest neighborhoods. The best part is that rather than feel like a fish-out-of-water tourist, you'll be staying right in the neighborhood, nearby the shops, markets and movie theaters the locals frequent.

The vacation homes in the Inner Sunset District feature all the comforts of home -- a large space, multiple bedrooms, a full-service kitchen, cozy couches, internet connection, televisions and DVD players. Inner Sunset vacation homes are perfect for families and those who prefer to travel in a large group.

""Enjoy the Waters of San Francisco""

Inner Sunset is just minutes from the Pacific Ocean, where Ocean Beach boasts the best surfing in San Francisco. The beach is also a great spot for a a peaceful, laid-back walk, and for those land-locked travelers who can never see enough of the ocean. If you obtain the needed permit, you and your family and friends can put together a bonfire on the beach.

For incredible fishing, head a short distance south of the Inner Sunset vacation apartments to Lake Merced, the largest lake within San Francisco and a favorite spot for local fishermen.

""Many Options for Outdoor Fun""

Three golf courses are within minutes of the San Francisco vacation rentals. The two private courses (Olympic Club and San Francisco Golf Club) and the municipal Harding Park Golf Club are all highly rated, having held prestigious golf tournaments.

All kids will enjoy the San Francisco Zoo. Touted as the largest zoo in the state of California, the San Francisco Zoo features great exhibits, like an insect zoo with videos, puppets and microscopes, along with zebras, tigers, and a bald eagle, all within a reasonable distance to Inner Sunset vacation apartments.
