"You cannot get a better deal than staying at Michael's property unless you are staying with relatives. We usually stay with relatives but this time, there were insufficient room, so I looked elsewhere. Boy, was I glad to find Michael's place and as luck would have it, Michael's place was available during the time we needed a place. It was already booked before and after our visit. The house is clean. It had features that we did not use because of our short 3 night stay. We had full use of the kitchen but we only use a small portion like the microwave and toaster. Most of the meals we ate out with our relatives. Had we stayed longer, we certainly could have used the refrigerator, oven and range and dishwasher to prepare our own meals. The kitchen was fully loaded with plates, utensils, pots and pans. Washer and dryer are available to do laundry. Free WIFI is available. There is a nook that serves as an office. Michael provides a computer for guest use, but if you brought your own devices like lap tops, tablets, and smart phones, you can wirelessly connect to the internet. For me the best feature was the hot shower. It felt so soothing and if it wasn't for the drought conditions, I would have loved to stay under the shower a lot longer. Location of this place is just so convenient and very safe. You are within walking distance to Golden Gate Park. Walk couple blocks and you can catch Muni buses or take the N Judah line light rail to see all the other SF attractions. All of us in our group are older than 60 but found easy to get around from Michael's place. However, if you choose to just chill out, you can watch TV shows from the many channels available there or read a book lounging in the backyard garden. Finally Michael himself was very easy to work with. He is meticulous. He had a packet with maps and information and took the time to explain to us what he expected from us as tenants when we arrived. He gave us a tour of the house and pointed out what all is available at his place. If I come to SF in the future and once again my relatives had no room, I would not hesitate to check if Michael's place is available."

"We stayed in this beautiful cottage for a more than a month. It is situated in the backyard of the house, a private and quite place; backyards, filled up with trees and flowers, surround the cottage.
We loved the sunny bedroom, walking closet and the large bathroom unsuited.
The facilities are good and when you need something Nancy Leavens, the owner, is always very helpful.
Cow Hollow is a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of nice and fancy shops, restaurants and bars in the Chestnut- and the Union Street. The Golden Gate Bride and the Presidio Park are nearby. The Presidio has nice restaurants where you can go for a drink, a meal or an interesting lecture. Every Thursday evening and Sunday afternoon they organize the Off the Grid meetings: a lot of food trucks and a great picnic.
Within 10 minutes by buss, you will be in the center of the town or nearby Fisherman’s Wharf. Nancy helps you to settle in the neighborhood and she will inform you about the local markets, events etc. We had a great time with Nancy and her lovely dogs and we will come back for sure!"

"We were a family of 7 who stayed here for 4 nights. The house was very clean and met all our expectations. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to prepare meals. The grocery stores and restaurants were close by. We could see the ocean from the living room. The beach itself was a few blocks away. We took the SF metro one day and it was less than a five minute walk to the stop. Paul was very prompt in answering all our questions and returned the deposit within 2 days. We highly recommend this place!"

"The apartment met our expectations in all respects and was ideal for our 10 days in San Francisco. It was more comfortable, cleaner, tidier and better stocked than we had experienced anywhere in many decades of renting apartments for our travels. We hired a small car for the duration of our stay as we needed to get around to a variety of places, so the parking in the apartment basement was great. For visits to Union Square and downtown SF, it was an easy twenty minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed eating at the Hillstone Restaurant (a one minute walk away) and had a few good meals at Pier 39 (almost opposite the Hillstone) and in the Italian Sector (about a mile away). The broadband was excellent and the support from the owners was first class. We hope the apartment is available next time we visit SF."
