  • San Francisco stay

"The location on this place is perfect, right in the heart of everything. The beds were excellent, the water pressure good, very clean and fancy as far as decor. It has a high black gate in front for privacy from the road. There is also a bicycle shop where to rent bicycles one block over for only 23$ online. The house was very clean and the owners very helpful with everything. The house had everything we needed for a weekend stay and would love to stay at this place again. The Thai food place the owner recommended we took advantage of and loved the yellow & panang curry. I highly recommend this place to anyone interested in staying in SF for a long or short period of time."

"The Penthouse in the Marina is absolutely stunning. It is perfectly located across from Fort Mason with amazing views of the Golden Gate bridge. We have always stayed at the Inn at the Presidio, but have never liked its lack of air conditioning. Now we have a new favorite place to stay! There is so much to like about this well appointed and charming property. There is a terrace off the living room that has incredible views of the the Golden Gate bridge and the bay, as well as the rooftop deck that has panoramic views of all of San Francisco. There is no furniture on the rooftop deck so we preferred to use that at night and enjoy the terrace during the day as there was better shade. It is located up several flights of stairs so groceries and lots of luggage might be difficult, but we parked for a few minutes right in front to unload and it did not seem to be a problem. There are two beds in one bedroom so it is certainly not an ideal property for two couples traveling, but for one couple or a few friends it would be very comfortable. There is also a pull out sofa in the living room I think, but there are no window coverings so I would not recommend this as a sleeping option. There is one bathroom and a well appointed kitchen. There are neighbors with children, but the noise from the other tenants was very minimal. They even had a party one night we were there and we heard very little from that apartment. We walked everywhere from this very central location and could not be happier with our choice. The penthouse really does have million dollar views. We hope we can stay here for all future visits to SF. Note: The shower takes a long time to warm up but we discovered that turning on the water and turning the knob two and a half times clockwise and then letting it run for about 5 minutes before getting in worked out very well. Once it is hot you can adjust the temp quickly."

  • Live like a local

"Our brief weekend stay couldn't have been better. We didn't do our usual trip planning but it turns out we really didn't need to as all of Laura's recommendations were perfect. The Fishermans Warf area is an easy walk past Fort Mason and bike rentals are plentiful in the Marina area so you can explore Crissy Field towards the Golden Gate bridge. Secret tip--free shuttle service within the Presidio. Dont miss Friday night food truck party Off the Grid and weekend brunch at Greens Restaurant. Be sure and schedule time just to sit in the apartment's patio and listen to the foghorns! Laura was extremely easy to work with (helped us store bags as our flight arrived insanely early), the apartment was comfortable and well-appointed and the whole weekend felt more like we were staying in the home of a really fun cousin who unfortunately had to be at work the whole time we were there."

  • San Fran at it's best

"My fiancé and I took our 4 teenagers to San Francisco for a regatta and were pleasantly surprised how close the home is to St. Francis Yacht Club. The views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the 1915 Panama/Pacific Exposition dome are amazing. Each level of the home has great features. We put one son on the ground level with ping pong and his own tv the room was perfect. Level two was the main living area. It truly is like you are at your own home. The owners left their things as if they walked out so any kitchen item you need is there! We at outside on the patio and cooked on the fab Lynx grill. Level three is the master - wow- tub and shower (with the VIEW!) and great bed. The "guest room" was perfect for our teenage daughter (own bath) and then the bunk room was great for the twins. The bunk room is actually the families son's room and was great (double bunk and upper single bunk) for the twin teenage sons we have. This home is worth every penny of the rent. It was relaxing and warm and truly a home. I have pretty high standards and this one is incredible. We would definitely rent again and i have recommended this home to our close friends and family. If you do rent this home, please treat it with care. We were honored to stay there and want to be able to return!!!!"
