"This condo is exactly as depicted in pictures and description. Original artwork makes for beautiful and unique accommodations. If you need to be near the Civic Center, this location makes absolute sense. BART and buses are within walking distance for access to other areas of the city. If you are a "city dweller" you will find the streets and surrounding area to be fine; adjacent streets vary in that some are very industrial looking in nature and the area has a huge number of homeless people living on the street. It did not feel particularly unsafe, but might be disconcerting if you are not familiar with city living. Two caveats regarding the rental: there is no coffeemaker and the only TV is located in the master bedroom and although it turns on, we were unable to tune in any local stations at all. The unit is on 3 floors (although you will probably not need to use the 3rd floor loft area) but it does entail some running up/down from bedrooms to living/kitchen floor. Having said that, the condo is perfectly appointed with lovely decorating, extremely clean/modern unit, and within a quiet building."

"This is our third stay in this wonderful cottage. It has everything we needed, even laundry, and is very comfortable. Having a glass of wine on the deck and watching the hummingbirds in the garden was a wonderful way to spend an hour in the afternoon.
The cottage is immaculately clean and well maintained, and is in the perfect area. Plenty of food and shopping nearby and buses abound to take you to other areas. I would recommend the cottage to anyone who wants to feel like a local for a few days - it really does feel like you're living in the city. Pop out the front gate into the hustle and bustle, but with a quiet cottage to relax in after a busy day in the city."

"The house is great especially the kitchen. It has a great retro motif that includes an awesome stove. The owners have thought of everything from a welcome book to leaving shopping bags to use during your shopping in San Francisco, there is a city law that stores have to charge for bags. Having breakfast with an ocean view was a great way to start the day. It was great to be able to have use of the garage and driveway as opposed to having to depend on curbside parking.
If your considering a place in the San Francisco area, I would definitely recommend this vacation rental. Thanks Paul, it was a great stay!"

"If you want the true San Francisco experience, you won't do better than the Hydeout. The Hyde St. Cable car runs right out front and the constant rhythm of the cables running under the road can actually be soothing. The wharf area is just 2 blocks down the hill which you will find much easier than going up the hill. Bike rental is also close by and the city is quite bike friendly with many dedicated lanes. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. One thing we noticed was that the wi-fi service would stop working after midnight so not sure if that is by design or not. Also there is no TV in the bedroom which we would have preferred as our daughters were staying in the front room. Highly recommend."
