  • A lovely place to stay!

"My husband and I came to stay in California with our two teenage boys for one month and found this the perfect place to be. The house is very nicely decorated and has plenty of space; apart from a chicken and a cozy living room, there are 3 bedrooms and two separate bathrooms, one on each floor. The back garden is lovely. Our boys were especially happy with the large flat screen TV in the living room (another TV is in the bedroom downstairs). The house is on a quiet street but still in the middle of a thriving neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and bars. A large supermarket is just a 3-minute-walk away. Bus stations are basically around the corner, the tram is a few blocks away, and the nearest Bart station (24th street) within a 10-minute reach. The hosts are extremely nice and kind. When travelling to the US from Europe, we missed our connecting flight and arrived very late in the evening, but the host was still waiting for us and made us feel very comfortable. He explained everything patiently, but was careful not to linger, because he immediately saw that we were tired; he assisted us during our stay whenever we had questions over the phone or via email. We could not have thought of a better place to stay, and can thus wholeheartedly recommend it. It is great for families with little children or teenagers, for a group of friends, or generally for everybody who wants to stay in SF for a little longer than just overnight."

  • Rental with Perfect Location!

"We really loved staying at Casa Dolores. The location was AWESOME, close to the Mission Taquerias, restaurants and shops on Valencia, Bi-Rite, Tartine, Noe Valley, etc. Close to the Muni and Bart stops as well. Jay was easy to work with and we had a wonderful time. The only reason we give this rental 4 stars instead of 5 is that the bed is rather squeaky and uncomfortable. A new bed and frame would definitely make this a 5 star rental. Thanks so much, Jay!"

  • Nice place! Close to the essentials of SF!

"My husband and I stayed in this rental for two nights and enjoyed it very much. The owner was very helpful and clear about all instructions for getting/checking-in to the rental and checking-out (both online and in a binder within the home). The binder also includes recommendations for various things in the Dogpatch neighborhood. There are about 5-8 stairs or so to enter the home-FYI-no problem for us.We felt very safe as there was a locked security gait you must pass through prior to entering the home. The rental had plenty of linens and also shampoo, conditioner, and body wash if needed. The full kitchen was great when we stayed in and had dinner one of the nights. The bed was large and very comfortable with nice linens. There is plenty of room in the main living area for an air mattress if you happened to have kiddos or additional guests. There are a lot of books in the rental which was a nice change from the standard hotel TV.We were bummed about not having a TV at first, but realized we didn't need it since we were out and about so much! The location was great for our walk to Anchor Brewing and we rode the train several times into downtown for a Giants game and visiting Coit Tower. The train and bus have stops right around the corner (1/2 block at most). You must have cash for the train and there is an ATM in the cafe on the corner near the train stop :) There are several hidden gems within the Dogpatch neighborhood, but you must do a little searching to find them.We recommend the Dogpatch Saloon for a local-feel bar with good prices, Magnolia Brewing Co. is nice with good BBQ (but very expensive), Just For You Cafe (awesome and great prices!), and The New Spot for affordable burritos/Latin food-also a liquor store next door to Just For You Cafe is practically a mini grocery store for last minute purchases.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, felt safe, and were happy with the location being out of the hustle and bustle, but within and 15 minute train ride of all the typical SF stuff! We will recommend to family/friends :)"

  • destination wedding getaway

"We decided to rent this home for our immediate family to celebrate our destination wedding. The home is absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. Each family had their own personal space throughout the home, rooms were large and spacious, games/activities in the home kept the kids entertained. Grocery shops near by and within walking distance of the home which made it easy to shop and cook meals at home. Parking was accommodating for our 3 rental vehicles. The owner, Elena, was very pleasant to work with and answered all my emails/calls within a timely manner. We would definitely want to stay here again during future vacations to San fran!"
