"What an amazing home to stay in on vacation. I would recommend this property to anyone that's planning a romantic trip for two or a trip with two families and anything in between. David was a great host and very helpful. We had a great stay and are looking forward to our next trip back!"

"My husband, teen daughter and I stayed four nights at the end of our drive up the coast from San Diego. It is a very comfortable, homey apartment that delighted us no end. The decor style is indeed in keeping with the Deco era of the building, and it's all fun and quirky and full of personality. The deck is an oasis, pure and simple. Jay was away on business when we arrived but he had an associate settle us in, and there was no issues whatsoever. Jay emailed us from the road to ensure we were comfortable, and later made sure he came down to meet us before we left. He was unfailingly responsive with emails and even phoned to answer some questions. He gave us fun recommendations for the neighbourhood. The kitchen is ideal for breakfast and snacks (and even a full-blown dinner if needed, but why would you eat at home in a foodie haven like SF?!); it's spacious and everything works. As another reviewer said, the furnishings weren't exactly as pictured, but that's because Jay is constantly updating pieces (or rather, backdating pieces) to ensure everything suits the Deco era. The three pieces I could see changed were now far more appropriate. It is definitely an urban location, so there are some street noises, but no traffic noise to speak of even in the morning rush hour, while on occasion in the evenings we could hear someone chatting as they strolled by. Seriously, a non-issue. The place is immaculate and the host is a pro. As I said to Jay, it's the kind of apartment I'd want to live in if I were lucky enough to live in SF. We'd stay again, and would recommend it."

"I stayed at this apartment for around 4.5 months while I was a visiting scholar at UCSF and I had a fantastic stay. The apartment itself is great and had everything I needed as well as a truly spectacular view of the city. I spent many hours sitting on the balcony taking in the view. For me the location was ideal. It is close to Dolores Park and right next to the J Church Muni. The neighborhood is wonderful and I always felt safe. I would walk to the Castro, the Mission and Noe Valley from there. I highly recommend this place!"

"We (family of four) stayed at Clipper Cottage for 5 nights... two adults, a three year old and a one year old. Our stay was so incredibly comfortable that I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are travelling with little ones. Carla provided us with everything we needed from a playpen to highchair to toys and books. The cottage was very clean and child-friendly. The location in Noe Valley is wonderful and has access to restaurants, banks, Whole Foods and parks. Although it is only a one-bedroom, the living room area with sofa bed is off to the side and can easily be used as another bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked, laundry is on site and the skylights provide plenty of natural light. Plus, the outdoor garden area was a beautiful place to sit in and relax after a long day of sightseeing. We can't wait to visit again. Thanks so much Carla!"
