"If you want the true San Francisco experience, you won't do better than the Hydeout. The Hyde St. Cable car runs right out front and the constant rhythm of the cables running under the road can actually be soothing. The wharf area is just 2 blocks down the hill which you will find much easier than going up the hill. Bike rental is also close by and the city is quite bike friendly with many dedicated lanes. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. One thing we noticed was that the wi-fi service would stop working after midnight so not sure if that is by design or not. Also there is no TV in the bedroom which we would have preferred as our daughters were staying in the front room. Highly recommend."

"I stayed here for a week with my mother-in-law and my three kids (8,6 and 2)for Spring Break. The apartment was impeccably clean, unexpectedly spacious, and nice quality furnishings. My kids were thrilled to have a bath in the jacuzzi tub at night :) My only regret is that we didn't utilize the space for more than just sleeping- great kitchen and a large, spacious living room/ dining room would have been wonderful if we had been cooking meals or entertaining. But no need to cook! Many restaurants, bakeries, cafes all within a few blocks. We ate somewhere different for every meal, every day. Easy access to public transit only a few blocks away. Lots of cute boutique shops in the neighborhood (with REAL, interesting items- NOT TOURIST JUNK!), Golden Gate Park is across the street with so much to do! My kids loved the Science Academy, playground and old carousel. Wish we had time for the DeYoung. We took the transit downtown a few different days to do touristy stuff, but ended the day with dinner back in our area. It was great to get away from all of that at the end of the day and relax. Absolutely no complaints! Tay was very quick to respond to any questions and a great host. Thank you!"

"We had a wonderful stay here and got a lot of exercise wandering up and down the hills. The flat was well-appointed, quiet and comfortable. We had some trouble with the TV, as the guide in the book was not too helpful and did not reflect what appeared on the screen, but there was Netflix and that was fine. Otherwise, 5 stars. Would not hesitate to stay there again."

"Staying at the house reminded me of my childhood visits to grandmother's house in New Jersey! The house is totally equipped (down to bandaids). While you certainly could cook, etc there, we enjoyed it as a comfortable come together spot after a busy day of sightseeing. The BART is a short walk away and we were able to access public transportation all over San Francisco. Found a great coffee shop a few blocks away and were able to store our rental car when we did not need it. Felt very safe and neighborhood-like-and we loved Pete, the go to guy for the property.
This property was perfect for us - a family gathering to share some vacation time in San Francisco. The price made it possible for us to afford the experieince. Would readily rent it again."
