  • Lovely Potrero Hill house

"Not your typical rental. Personality and carefully considered design. It felt like our home away from home. Great view at night from the bedroom. The entire experience has been well thought out. Potrero Hill is one of SF's best kept secrets. Don't bother driving (and dealing with parking) anywhere else for dinner (other than maybe Dogpatch and the eastern Mission). Uber really IS terrific in SF. Tell your children to move to SF and have grandchildren."

  • Potrero Charm

"Wonderful place to stay on Potrero Hill. Charming 2 bedrooms with a great living room space and nicely furnished kitchen. The beds were comfortable. Everything you need as well as easy access to excellent dining, coffee, and exploratory walking. The owner was easy to work with and very interested in making our stay pleasant. We will definitely stay here again."

  • Nice place! Close to the essentials of SF!

"My husband and I stayed in this rental for two nights and enjoyed it very much. The owner was very helpful and clear about all instructions for getting/checking-in to the rental and checking-out (both online and in a binder within the home). The binder also includes recommendations for various things in the Dogpatch neighborhood. There are about 5-8 stairs or so to enter the home-FYI-no problem for us.We felt very safe as there was a locked security gait you must pass through prior to entering the home. The rental had plenty of linens and also shampoo, conditioner, and body wash if needed. The full kitchen was great when we stayed in and had dinner one of the nights. The bed was large and very comfortable with nice linens. There is plenty of room in the main living area for an air mattress if you happened to have kiddos or additional guests. There are a lot of books in the rental which was a nice change from the standard hotel TV.We were bummed about not having a TV at first, but realized we didn't need it since we were out and about so much! The location was great for our walk to Anchor Brewing and we rode the train several times into downtown for a Giants game and visiting Coit Tower. The train and bus have stops right around the corner (1/2 block at most). You must have cash for the train and there is an ATM in the cafe on the corner near the train stop :) There are several hidden gems within the Dogpatch neighborhood, but you must do a little searching to find them.We recommend the Dogpatch Saloon for a local-feel bar with good prices, Magnolia Brewing Co. is nice with good BBQ (but very expensive), Just For You Cafe (awesome and great prices!), and The New Spot for affordable burritos/Latin food-also a liquor store next door to Just For You Cafe is practically a mini grocery store for last minute purchases.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, felt safe, and were happy with the location being out of the hustle and bustle, but within and 15 minute train ride of all the typical SF stuff! We will recommend to family/friends :)"

  • We loved our stay here, felt like home.

"We loved our stay in this house because it felt like home, very comfortable. The view of downtown is fantastic! The neighborhood is great (close to Whole Foods). The dedicated parking space is nice. We left the car parked because using the buses was convenient with several lines going right by. The house isn't fancy, but completely comfortable, like a very pleasant place to live. The cat, Big Guy, was instantly friendly. My daughter did not want leave him! One thing that was exceptional about renting this home was the generosity of Scott, who seemed genuinely happy to share his food and drinks. What a great host!"
