"Perfect place from which to explore SF. Took the express bus to financial district on a weekday morning and back in the afternoon (30 minutes and $2 each way). Lands End, the beach and Golden Gate Park walking distance from the apartment. Great restaurants nearby and super quiet neighborhood. Already made reservations for next year. See you guys then."

"Our family of 4 adults met at the Duck's Nest for 4 days of fun in San Francisco. This apartment was GREAT - one of our best VRBO experiences. It is charming, comfortable and clean. The location is excellent - we spent quite a bit of time exploring Golden Gate Park. We were able to pick up the light rail to get to AT and T park for a Giants game. We spent hours out in the city, and were so happy to come back to the Duck's Nest at the end of the day. The apartment is very well supplied with all the little things to make life enjoyable - travel mugs, wine glasses, nice towels, extra shampoo, etc. There is a wealth of information in the apartment regarding the neighborhood and the city. We had a great time! I highly recommend this apartment! Thanks Rob!"

"Stayed here as parents and three young adult kids. Mick the owner was a pleasure to work with, and even got us a visitor's parking permit which made things really easy. The location is amazing -walk to Golden Gate Park, walk to everything in Haight Ashbury, and the view of a bit of the Pacific really helped. The apartment is really comfortable -not big - but very comfortable. The upstairs shower in a hallway took some getting used to (ask Mick!) but it made a great talking point!. There's a gorgeous fireplace to sit around and read in the evenings. We had a car so didn't use public transport much - but the kids did, and said it was a breeze. Supermarket very close by, and downtown SF is a 12 minute ride away (at least when we were there for Christmas week) .
I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Oh, and we had a week of clear blue skies and 60 degree weather in December included. Make sure you ask for that deal."

"Four of us did a "get away" weekend in San Francisco and loved having Linda as our hostess for this rental of hers. The location is so perfect---we were able to ride the bus everywhere with only one block (short block) to the stops. We walked to dinner at a couple restaurants she had listed---had awesome meals at Mesculanza and Burma Superstar. Linda's welcome basket was wonderful--wine, chocolate, shopping bag for groceries (how thoughtful!), even a souvenir key chain for one house key! While the rental is not super fancy, it has been updated and is totally comfortable and cute---nice towels are a great advantage! The owners seem to understand what "visiting" requires---hair dryer, some makeup remover wipes, the basic spices, etc. We totally loved it here and will definitely rent again if we have the chance to go back! The only disadvantage for two couples is that the second bedroom has bunk beds---however the bottom one is a double so conceivably a couple could do bottom bunk only---we are so used to king sized beds, I found it easier to just do the upper bunk thing. Loved how close we were to Golden Gate Park and Land's End---the location couldn't really be any better!"
