Visit SF and come "home" to a Hillside Cottage above the Bay on a secret Tropical Lane!
"Amazing location: hillside above the Bay with impressive interior and exterior (roof patio) Bay views. This cottage is literary, historical, and artistic. The kitchen is stocked with gourmet tools. We preferred to pick up local fresh fish and farmer's market produce and eat at home...on the roof patio! Two blocks from the Hyde/Powell Trolley Car, your stop is famous Swenson's Ice Cream (hurry home with a "Swenson's Pint"). This Secret Tropical Lane is a couple of blocks from The Wharf & Pier 39, The Marina, North Beach (little Italy), Coit Tower and Filbert Steps, and Grace Cathedral (with interior and exterior Labyrinths)! The Telegraph Hill Parrots visit every afternoon. The Host/Manager is easy to work with and flexible. We still dream about San Francisco and The Cottage. It is one of our favorite vacations ever!"

"I can't say enough about this home on Green Street. Perfect location, walking distance to all of the Embarcadero: Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, Ghirardelli Sq, Hyde St cable car, Blazing Saddles bike rentals, etc. We stayed there with our 6 children and walked just about everywhere. The beds and linens were very comfortable, the home was clean, and well-stacked with all the necessities. BJ and Larry were proper hosts: gave us a code for the home, had daily newspaper delivered, and gave us tips on where to eat in the area. The showers were very comfortable, the gardens gave a pretty view from the kitchen, and the rooftop deck was spectacular. I would return and stay there in a heartbeat!"

"My wife and I just concluded a one month stay at this property and we were impressed with the accommodations, view, location, management company, etc... Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the SFO Bay was a great way to start the day. The parrots of Telegraph Hill often paid us a visit each day. They were so close you could almost reach out and touch them as they dined on the berries from the nearby trees. The unit came equipped with everything we needed. It was wonderful to watch the fog roll in and out of the SFO Bay throughout our stay. You could even hear the harbor seals during the day. When we could see clear to Sausalito, we knew the weather would be perfect that day. The location was fabulous. One needs to be ready to tackle the hills though, but it is worth it. The end of the street is what we called the secret garden, a beautiful garden walk down to Leavenworth St. We took it every few nights when we wanted to get some gelato in Little Italy. The management company and owners were very accommodating whenever we had a request. The neighbors were also very friendly. They made us feel at home. We will definitely be back..."

"If you want the true San Francisco experience, you won't do better than the Hydeout. The Hyde St. Cable car runs right out front and the constant rhythm of the cables running under the road can actually be soothing. The wharf area is just 2 blocks down the hill which you will find much easier than going up the hill. Bike rental is also close by and the city is quite bike friendly with many dedicated lanes. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. One thing we noticed was that the wi-fi service would stop working after midnight so not sure if that is by design or not. Also there is no TV in the bedroom which we would have preferred as our daughters were staying in the front room. Highly recommend."
