"We cannot rave enough about this wonderful place and its hosts, John and Shelly! Our stay here made our first visit to San Francisco that much more special. We dream of going back and staying here! You will want for nothing in this funky, spacious, and gorgeous apartment from the quality coffee and tea and wine to the amazing comfy beds and bedding and towels - oh and did I mention the fireplace to snuggle up to and read by under a blanket on a foggy night? And what a fun sun room to eat breakfast in. All of the rooms are spacious and perfect for a family. We even used the fold out beds they have that are as comfy as any mattress! The views are spectacular with the morning fog creeping in and keeping you cool at night. The Inner Sunset where this is situated is a lovely section and just a few steps from the tiled steps and hilly peak that offers a spectacular 360 degree view of San Francisco. We were also so amazed by how very quiet this apt. is. John answers any question you may have and answered many for me before we even arrived! They were gracious enough to let us do a load of laundry as well. We had no trouble parking our car on the side street each day. This place is a 5-star GEM and so are its hosts!"

"You cannot get a better deal than staying at Michael's property unless you are staying with relatives. We usually stay with relatives but this time, there were insufficient room, so I looked elsewhere. Boy, was I glad to find Michael's place and as luck would have it, Michael's place was available during the time we needed a place. It was already booked before and after our visit. The house is clean. It had features that we did not use because of our short 3 night stay. We had full use of the kitchen but we only use a small portion like the microwave and toaster. Most of the meals we ate out with our relatives. Had we stayed longer, we certainly could have used the refrigerator, oven and range and dishwasher to prepare our own meals. The kitchen was fully loaded with plates, utensils, pots and pans. Washer and dryer are available to do laundry. Free WIFI is available. There is a nook that serves as an office. Michael provides a computer for guest use, but if you brought your own devices like lap tops, tablets, and smart phones, you can wirelessly connect to the internet. For me the best feature was the hot shower. It felt so soothing and if it wasn't for the drought conditions, I would have loved to stay under the shower a lot longer. Location of this place is just so convenient and very safe. You are within walking distance to Golden Gate Park. Walk couple blocks and you can catch Muni buses or take the N Judah line light rail to see all the other SF attractions. All of us in our group are older than 60 but found easy to get around from Michael's place. However, if you choose to just chill out, you can watch TV shows from the many channels available there or read a book lounging in the backyard garden. Finally Michael himself was very easy to work with. He is meticulous. He had a packet with maps and information and took the time to explain to us what he expected from us as tenants when we arrived. He gave us a tour of the house and pointed out what all is available at his place. If I come to SF in the future and once again my relatives had no room, I would not hesitate to check if Michael's place is available."

"My husband & I stayed two nights when the inner sunset location was a must. The location was perfect for us. Great coffee and pastries across the street, and very close to Irving for everything else. Access was easy. The kitchenette is a nice plus, although we did not require it. The only problems were that the towels had a mildew smell as though they were left in the washer too long. It took nearly 2 months to get the deposit returned. However, I had not followed up and they did eventually get to it."
