  • Fantastic, tasteful apartment in central San Francisco

"What a great place to stay. You cannot go wrong if you choose this great apartment sight unseen like I did. What strikes you most is all the great interior decorating that has gone into the place. Mainly earth tones but the living room and dining have a lot of burnt orange with black and white artwork and it looks really good. Also there is a BBQ deck off the kitchen and then another garden right off two of the bedrooms where there are Japanese maples growing. We also went up to the top floor to the roof garden which has great views. The apartment has a large kitchen with a huge subzero fridge and a European dishwasher. It also has a washer and dryer so that was great. We met the owner Patricia one evening and she was very nice and she had earlier sent up a "places to Go List" which was very helpful."

  • Fun week in San Francisco

"Nice apartment with a great kitchen if you like to prepare your own meals. We stayed for our honeymoon and had a great time. Very busy week with lots of travel. Easy access to the Muni, we traveled all over the city using the muni and had to walk no more than 4 blocks to our stop from the flat. Castro is a cool area with plenty of shops and cafes if you don't feel like traveling."

  • SF trip

"GReat lady to rent from/so personable & nice. Home is a classic, built in 1920. Great location on west side. Only 6.5 miles from Giants ball park. Food places 2 blocks north on Irving, lots to choose from. Home is really comfortable/love the ability to park in garage-so convenient. All was good. dan"

  • Nice apartment

"I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 2 children. We only ate breakfast here but my husband did cook eggs and used some of the supplies to make hot chocolate. We weren't informed that it was Gay Pride weekend and that the street would be closed down for a huge block party. We were surprised when we got off the metro that was a block and a half away to find a huge party and some naked men. Even though the property is set back behind the building on the main street the music was blaring. I'm not sure when it finally got quiet but we all had a hard time falling asleep due to the music. We had to sign house rules saying we would be quiet. We did have a car since we were travelling all around CA and were able to find a parking space a couple blocks away on Noe St. We were there over the weekend so it was fine. We used public transportation to get around the city and it was a bit confusing. It would have been nice to have some brochures of some activities. It would have been especially helpful to have a MUNI, public transportation, maps. We went to the wharf, Blue and Gold boat tour called the Rock, walked on the Golden Gate Bridge and went along the coast to get to the airport from Lands End where we had great views of the GG bridge. I wish we would have had more time to go to the beach. The place was at a good location but not for the weekend we came."
