"We had a fantastic time and our host as always was so very accommodating. The garden studio was clean, a peaceful setting and decorated beautifully! We hope to enjoy it for more visits! :-)"

  • Great Place in a Great City!

"This renovated flat was an excellent choice for our stay in San Francisco. The duplex was perfect and fit our needs to a "T." Everything was spotless. The furniture comfortable and up to date. The kitchen was a focal point for cooking and getting together. The duplex is centrally located and an easy start-out point for Napa, viewing redwoods, Fisherman's Warf, Alcatraz and much more. Golden Gate Park is right next door. The owners were very helpful and could not have been more accommodating. I would certainly return to this welcoming location and highly recommend!"

  • Comfy, cozy, well situated - with one drawback

"We spent a lovely 4 days/3 nights at Lone Fir Cottage. Eleanore, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. The cottage is cozy and quiet, surrounded by oaks, with partial ridge views. Wonderfully located, practically inside Pt Reyes National Seashore and a short drive to Point Reyes Station. The spacious hot tub (a highlight) was relaxing and therapeutic after long daily hikes. Remodeled bath is nicely appointed. Plenty of linens. Beds not new but comfortable. Books, puzzles, DVD player kept us entertained in the evenings, plus wi-fi, which we appreciated. Did not use the fireplace, as it was warm so we did not need it. The one negative: the kitchen is really not adequate and the mini refrigerator is too small, even for just two adults. We tried using our coolers but food spoiled anyway. There's a gas grill on the deck, but we did not use it due to our short stay and concerns about storing raw ingredients and leftovers. This might not be a big deal to others, but for us it really detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay."

"Hi Barbara, We are now home after our overnight flight. I want you to know what a beautiful and meaningful time we had at your incredible home in Inverness. It was the most wonderful family vacation. The views and beauty and peace of your home truly is restoring. You and your husband have succeeded in creating the ultimate retreat. Thank you so very much for sharing it with our family. My Best, Linda"
