  • A Wonderful Experience!

"As many of the other reviews have stated, Eric was a fantastic host. He was so accommodating and pleasant and provided a wealth of information about the neighborhood and the greater SF area. The apartment was very private comfortable for two adults. We especially liked Progressive Coffee on Cortland Ave. Many people have mentioned that the bus stations and/or BART are well within walking distance. However, our time was limited here so we opted to drive our rental car around to save time (and money). Parking outside the apartment was ample - but pay attention to the signs about street cleaning - we found this out the hard way (totally our fault). We would definitely stay here again next time we are in town!"

  • Peaceful haven in a beautiful setting!

"If you are looking for a unique location away from the hustle and bustle of the city, look no further. There is nothing lacking in this home - comfort, artful design, spaciousness, beautiful views, a quiet neighborhood, and every amenity you could possibly need. The home was very clean, well-maintained, and my friends and I felt very safe and secure in there and the neighborhood. Choosing not to rent a car wasn't a problem since there are numerous bus stops conveniently located. We had no problem reaching any destination. Download the "Moovit" app if you choose to take public transportation. It was very helpful. Also, download the "uber" app vs. using taxis. The response time is fast, the cost is less than cabs, and there is no tipping! Be sure to make use of the house manual on the dining room table. It's loaded with helpful information - including neighborhood menus at the back! My friends and I were pleasantly surprised to meet the owner of the home who was welcoming and gracious. I would highly recommend this wonderful property for a memorable stay in San Francisco."

  • Family getaway

"We spent four wonderful days at this lovely VRBO. The house is spacious and is in a great location - close to restaurants, a supermarket, Golden Gate Park, and public transit. The owners were very helpful and provided a lot of information on restaurants, things to do, etc. I would highly recommend it. We are already talking about our next trip."

  • Characteristic beatiful place, great location!

"We spend 3 nights at the beautiful place of Robert and Alev. They are such nice people and gave us a warm welcome. The place is the lower floor of their house, which is an old but beautiful and characteristic place. The decoration is great, the place is large and offers everything you need: nice kitchen, good bed, nice bathroom, lots of books, a sitting area and a garden. There even is a washer and dryer available. We really had a though timing chosing the neighborhood to stay in since it was our first time in SF. but we would really recommend this place and this area! It is close to Chestnut and Lombard street where you have all the nice restaurants and bars (many locals, not so touristy), you are a few feet away from Presidio park where you can have nice walks, bike rides and we even did our workouts there in the morning. Then, you are also quite close to the beach and the golden gate bridge. A bit further from downtown (which is not that pretty actually, but a large shopping area is there) and from the warf, which is VERY touristy. We rented bikes for 2 days and this enabled us to see the entire city without using our car or public transportation. You can easily ride over the golden gate, ride to the warf and to downtown. Robert and Alev were very sweet to show us around, help with parking the car, give us advice about where to go and when I had a little injury during our stay Alev helped me to go to a medical center. They are really sweet. The place is much BIGGER and much NICER than in the pictures we think :-) My husband is a photographer and he made some nice pictures which we will share so we hope this helps. The only small thing is that you can hear people walking in the upper floors (just because its an old house), but since Robert and Alev are really quiet people this did not bother us at all. We really recommend this place, loved it!"
