  • Business is business

"We arrived at 2.00pm when check in was at 4.00pm so I asked Patty if there was a possibility for us 5 (amongst us 2 ladies ages 80 and 73) just to pop in to leave or luggage and come back after 4.00 The answer was yes but the cost would be of 50$ !!!!! "it is for the inconvenience of the house keeper, since she has to work around the luggage" !!! I doubt the housekeeper got a cent from this money. Nevertheless I must say we enjoyed the house which was exaclty as we expected, with a fantastic view, charming neighbourhood, shops 10mn walking. Reaching dowtown takes a bit of time but we knew that before renting the apartment. It was not a problem for us. Bedding was very confortable. Now a few things I wouldn't have mentioned if I hadn't had pay this extra charge: we kept the toilet doorhandle in hand when closing door. We had the same problem with the tap handle, same room. The pans handles were sticky and a there were a few stains on the walls probably left by travellers luggage as well as some handprints. The facade needs to be repainted, the painting is peeling (one can consider it gives charm to the property). We have never met the person in charge of the property nor the owner."

  • Great Stay!

"We used this property while my wife was having surgery at UCSF. Previously I had stayed at a hotel recommended by UCSF which turned out to be incredibly noisy. This location is simply phenomenal; there is a plethora of restaurants nearby and groceries/other supplies are within a block. I mentioned the noisy hotel because this location was really, really quiet. We never heard any noise from the street which was important for those of us that were getting limited sleep. As for the landlord; I cannot say enough nice things about him. We were distracted by the seriousness of the surgery and Jim was very patient with me in fielding questions that, in all likelihood, were on their website. He also checked with me (even though he was on vacation) to see if I needed anything and asked how my wife was doing. Class, pure class. The hospital was an easy walk with a Starbucks just around the corner to jump start your day. I noted three or four other coffee shops if you are not a "Bucks" fan. I hope I do not have to have another extended stay at UCSF but if I do; I will try and coordinate appointments around this property's availability!"

  • A colorful and eclectic gem in Little Italy

"This lofty artsy apartment is exactly as described and showed in the listing. A gem of a find in the heart of North Beach's Little Italy! This was my first VRBO, and I was so pleased with the turnout. Sherry truly cares for her unit as evidenced by the attention to detail in decorating and providing comfort and amenities for her clients. Customer service was top notch. No fuss, no added fees. It truly felt like a home away from home. Well furnished and decorated. Upon arrival, she gave me great tips on places to eat and things to do. She also provided lots of pamphlets and brochures of the city. There was also a great selection of books to read on California and San Francisco. The location is close to many restaraunts, bus stops, little stores, markets...literally around every corner. She was sweet to even offer to call a cab upon checkout. Such service! The only thing lacking was a washer and dryer, but no worries. Stanley's Laundry is only a 2 block walk. Across from it is a cute bakery that makes great croissants. Eat while you wait. There seemed to be quite a bit of revelers at night especially on weekends seeing that it's so close to several bars, so I suggest bringing some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Other than that, it's a safe and well secured place. I would totally return and will be recommending this place to all my friends. It's a great alternative to staying at the chaotic and crowded Union Square."

  • Missing our time in this apartment!

"I would like to keep this slice of heaven to myself but that would not be fair! My husband and I rented this apartment February and March 2014 and we could not have been happier! We have rented many VRBO places and none were as nice as this place. It was beyond our expectations on so many levels. The apartment has been renovated and decorated beautifully. It was set up for our arrival with so many well thought out details, nice linens and a ton of towels, empty containers for our use, a custom designed closet, fully equipped kitchen ....I could go on and on. The outdoor heated balcony with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay was wonderful. We felt totally safe in the apartment and felt our car was totally safe in the secure parking garage. The neighbors in the building were very welcoming. The location could not be better. Bars, restaurants and shops right out the door. The 45 Union and the 22 Fillmore bus lines are right there. These bus lines will take you to Chinatown, North Beach, downtown, Fillmore neighborhood, Hayes Valley and the Mission. Location , location, location! Kim was great to work with, always immediatedly available. The only thing we didn't like was leaving! This place will not disappoint!"
