  • Loved it!

"The location is wonderful. We explored all the surrounding neighborhoods, and we liked the Hayes Valley the best. Great little restaurants and shops. There is a Whole Foods conveniently nearby as well. The property itself is spacious, and there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and not be on top of each other, and yet the communal areas are nice for gathering. We really liked the kitchen and liked that we could make our breakfast. It is stocked well and you have everything you need. The beds were comfortable."

  • Perfect Location

"We arrived in San Francisco one day later than planned due to flight cancellations. As we were rebooking to add a day onto the end of our planned week in the city, we texted Mike and Amy to see if we could adjust our booking by one day. A quick response that that would be no problem helped a great deal with our revised vacation. When we finally arrived at the apartment it was exactly as described. It was great space for two people and in the heart of Nob Hill with great access to two cable car lines. The two transit passes were a great bonus as we travelled a great deal on the cable cars to get to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, restaurants, shows, and the "F" bus line back from Alcatraz night tour and to the Golden Gate Park and back. An earlier review complained of an odour in the building similar to a cat odour. Wrong! The building has a slight antique like smell when you first walk in the front doors. Not offensive at all and no odour whatsoever in the unit. And as far as the cable car sounds they are minimal and just add to the special ambiance of the location. It has a great kitchen, a separate laundry room off the kitchen, a good sized living/dining room and a spacious bedroom. The latter has that great view of the Bay Bridge every morning when you wake up. The living area does, however, need a coffee table in front of the couch. Nob Hill has lots of restaurant options and the apartment is easily within walking distance to both China Town and North Beach cuisine and shops. Don't miss the Tonga Room in the Fairmont Hotel for a retro Polynesian fun happy hour complete with indoor thunder, lightening and rain-- just around a couple of corners from the apartment. When it was time to leave the apartment Mike offered to store our luggage for a couple of hours in his main floor office until the shuttle was scheduled to pick us up. You know it is a good building when the owners live there as well."

  • Excellent in every way

"This flat was perfectly furnished, for a couple or just two people who want to have a place to relax, hang out waiting for a race or an event you have trained for. The Triathalon Escape from Alcatraz, is perfect even for a spectator, it has a beautiful patio to enjoy coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Close to everything you want to do. Great restaurants within walking distance, easy distance, quiet neighborhood. The check in and out was easy, this was a perfect get a away place and I would rent it again the next time I go for the race, or a wedding or to play golf."

  • Perfect Location

"We visit SF often and we will definitely be staying here again. Tucked away just off Cortland and close to coffee shops, two lovely bakery's, Whole Foods, Epicurean and so many more great shopping spots. It's a short walk to Bernal Hill and Holly Park is near by too. Bus lines are close by so coming and going was simple. We have family that live in Bernal Heights and to find this VRBO only a short distance from her place was a great asset. Comfy and Cozy suits the description well for this great VRBO."
