  • What a GREAT PLACE

"Stayed here as parents and three young adult kids. Mick the owner was a pleasure to work with, and even got us a visitor's parking permit which made things really easy. The location is amazing -walk to Golden Gate Park, walk to everything in Haight Ashbury, and the view of a bit of the Pacific really helped. The apartment is really comfortable -not big - but very comfortable. The upstairs shower in a hallway took some getting used to (ask Mick!) but it made a great talking point!. There's a gorgeous fireplace to sit around and read in the evenings. We had a car so didn't use public transport much - but the kids did, and said it was a breeze. Supermarket very close by, and downtown SF is a 12 minute ride away (at least when we were there for Christmas week) . I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Oh, and we had a week of clear blue skies and 60 degree weather in December included. Make sure you ask for that deal."

  • Berkeley Hills Cottage

"We so enjoyed our two weeks in this beautifully renovated cottage. The owners have their own home on the property but the cottage gave us complete privacy with easy parking and our own entry. The gardens were blooming and well cared for, providing a welcome escape from Vermont winter. The cottage itself is thoughtfully and tastefully furnished, completely updated without losing its historical charm. We found absolutely everything we needed along with a selection of interesting art on the walls, an array of books for reading, and a gas fireplace. Because this is not where the owners live, we had plenty of drawer and closet space in the bedroom and bathroom, as well as an ample supply of quality towels and linens. The outdoor patio completed the perfect layout for us. Most outstanding and appreciated was the fully equipped kitchen, which we used for breakfast, packing picnics, and a few dinners, finding every tool and pan a person could want. We enjoyed the Berkeley Hills location and found our way around to the many area sights, focusing on walking in the great weather and beautiful views. This was not our first trip to the Bay Area, but it was our first time in nearby Tilden Park which has great family activities as well as more challenging trails. A car is essential, but we had a great time finding out way to new destinations."

  • This house is a gem!

"We spent a romantic and relaxing Valentine's Day weekend at Oceansong! It was obvious that from the moment that we opened the front door and heard the welcoming soft music, champagne, and chocolate awaiting us, that we were in for a memorable time! The house is "oozing" with character and charm! Creta and Bill were wonderful hosts! Bill stopped by to greet us was very helpful in giving us tips about the area, some history and points of interest that we may want to see. We were excited to spend our first day exploring through some bushy areas at the beach. When we got back to the house, I realized that I had a tick in my arm....yikes! :-( Trying to be brave and not really being prepared for this, I called Bill and Creta to see if they could come to the rescue. Bill not only brought over some tweezers, a magnifying glass, and Hydrogen Peroxide, he also helped me get that critter out of my arm. I was thankful that they lived very close by and were so helpful in an "emergency". The weekend went by way too quickly...so quickly in fact, that I lost track of days. I appreciated that Creta and Bill checked in with us the morning of our scheduled departure or we may have inadvertently "crashed" the next visitors stay. Next time we will just have to stay a bit longer!"

  • Neighborhood Retreat San Francisco

"As advertised. Lovely bright sunny apartment with a great cooks kitchen and updated amenities. We had plenty of room for 4 adults but we could have had 2 more. Bath and a half is a blessing especially if dding guests. Fantastic location in quiet north Beach side street. Walk to pier 39, fisherman's Wharf , shops, cafes groceries..everything is right there.Nice to be in a neighborhood and a few back from the beaten path. Made us feel like we were citizens of San Francisco not the tourists we really were!"
