"I normally don't publish reviews on the internet but I felt compelled to write this one for Allison and her rental.
My family and I spent 5 wonderfully relaxing days this past week at 16 Josephine and it was the vacation of a lifetime for all of us. The four of us were instantly awestruck by the spectacular view the minute we walked into the house. (The photos on the website do not do it justice; you have to be here to experience it.) The place is very well maintained and spotless to say the least. It has everything we could possibly need (full kitchen, snacks, video games, magazines, travel pamphlets, etc) and more. Allison is wonderfully accommodating and quickly answered any questions we had. Her hospitality made us feel at home right away. As such we spent so much time at this house just to enjoy the surreal view and idly watch the sailboats passing by.
Thank you, Allison, for letting us stay in this absolutely beautiful place. I can't wait to return.
If you are planning for your next vacation now, look no further. This place is simply awesome!"

"My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. The house is very quiet! We rented a house on the coast last summer but this time we tried the hills. Moonraker is on a small road that has occasional traffic, but the house felt very secluded. The kitchen had everything we needed and we love the hot tub! We didn't drive our car the whole time we were there. The walk to the coast (1 mi.) is steep when you are on Moonraker road but overall it was very doable. I also hiked on the trails that crisscross the hills. The entrance to the trails is just down the street."

"We stayed 5 nights (not long enough) and had time to relax in the beautiful serenity of the pension, gardens, vineyards and dock. We don't want to repeat other reviews but all that was said in them is true. It was completely private, luxurious and comfortable. Private gate opens to tree-lined gravel road and that leads to an amazing home and cottage set within the vines. You could just easily be driving on a small road to a villa in Tuscany. The cottage portion of the property is beautiful, as is everything else on this property. Jim and Ann left a very nice bottle of wine and came to greet us with enjoyable conversation and suggestions. They also were spot on with their recommendations - our favorite winerey not on our radar but Jim's suggestion (Benovia). We did not see them again ever until checkout - by their design- but were readily available by cell phone and text. Property is very close to downtown Healdsburg and its wonderful restaurants (Madrona Manor was like nothing we've ever experienced - $$$$ but 14 courses and each dish was a work of art and flavor; Scopa, Dry Creek, Dry Creek General Store, Parish Cafe our other favorites), family-oriented fourth of july celebrations and the wine road their property is located on led to great wineries, vineyards and winding roads (took Sweetwater Creek road to Armstrong Redwoods- dont miss this white knuckle drive). Many afternoons with wine and cheese sitting on their shaded dock on the pond watching blue heron, turtles and ducks. They have bikes that you can use to easily to get to a half dozen amazing wineries a short ride away. Little quail family so cute. Petanque court fun. Also have a small boat and fishing poles. Highly recommend - we travel alot and this property made us a VRBO fan and would stay here again any time. If you a looking for a romantic stay for two people in Sonoma Wine country you can't do any better than staying at Pension in the Vines."

"I stayed here for 3 months. It was a perfect place to stay in Napa. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, but close enough to walk to downtown Napa and Oxbow market easily. The house is stocked perfectly with everything you need to live for a month. We could cook with the gadgets available, drink good wine, do our laundry, and store everything we needed for a few months. Susan is a great host. She is very knowledgable about the area and everywhere to eat and exercise. We shared several meals and she even took me to a local yoga class. I would stay here again in a minute. Highly recommended!!!"
