  • Perfect home away from home in amazing neighborhood!

"My husband and I stayed in this cottage for a week with our three year old son and we couldn't have been happier. Feels like you are living in the lovely Elmwood neighborhood with coffee shops, restaurants, the university, and more within walking distance. House was super clean and modern with all the amenities you could need-wireless internet, tv, washer/dryer, coffee pot, dishes, blackout shades in the bedroom, etc. Reserving and getting in went super smooth. There is a lovely front deck and a back patio with a barbecue as well. We couldn't have asked for more! I just want to point to a few things you should be aware of: 1. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs so it was a bit of a challenge with a kid or if you have to pee in the middle of the night like I do:) 2. The heater is downstairs and it can get quite cold upstairs in the bedroom so we bought our own space heater for the bedroom. 3. There are no blinds on the front windows so if you plan on sleeping on the foldout couch you might feel a little exposed (though there is a big shady tree that does provide some cover). Other than those things, this place was perfect for us and we can't wait to go back. The owner was also very helpful and responsive if we had questions!"

  • Very relaxing spot, would rent again

"This was a very nice, secluded place to stay. My wife liked the architecture & art especially. Astounding views and great living room to share with friends. A couple notes if you're considering this place: * 3rd bedroom (bunk beds) is only accessible through the 2nd bedroom. Fortunately, we had two teens with us and they were fine with this arrangement but it wasn't clear from the description. * Master bedroom has no door and master bath only has a tub, but a nice one. * No garbage disposal so be sure to strain out all your food waste * Lock doors carefully (don't just shut them) at night as raccoons can be very crafty. * There is a fireplace now (addressing someone else's complaint) but I don't think it's worth the effort. Still, if you want it, it's there. * Don't freak out but a fox likes to climb onto the deck and look for scraps around dusk. It's nature -- that's what you came for. * Strict limit of 6 people and no pets. Not a problem for us but worth noting. Highly recommended and Kerry was helpful. Thanks!"

  • A perfect place to unplug...

"Waking and dreaming to the sound of the water lapping outside the Sea Mist made us feel we were farther away from home than we were. We hiked and explored Point Reyes and most of all relaxed and unplugged. The hot tub was perfect to slip into after a day’s worth of exercise. The Sea Mist 1 cottage was just the right size for our two daughters, my husband and I. As well as being clean, comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed a meal at the Station House Cafe and bought beautiful organic ingredients at Toby's for our other meals. The water was a little too choppy for kayaking so we'll do that next time!"

  • Fantastic way to experience Dillon Beach

"Dill n Thyme is easily one of the top 5 places at Dillon Beach. It's super-convenient in terms of beach access (don't bother with Oceana Marin), the views are postcard, and the facilities are well-maintained and great quality. Joy keeps the place well-stocked and is very friendly to deal with. It's great for even young kids. We've stayed there twice and have every reason to go back. Big points for internet access, washer-dryer, stocked kitchen, soft towels and linens, heated toilet seats, pet policy, and of course that great back balcony looking into Dillon Beach and Tamalas Bay. Only minor complaint is that the bedrooms can get bright in the mornings when you want to sleep in."
