  • Always the Best

"The hosts, Jim and Carol Aldrich, are wonderful and the apartment is very clean, comfortable and in a great location for easy access to the rest of the city by car or public transportation. We could not ask for a better place to stay."

  • Wonderful property!

"My husband and I stayed here December 4-7, 2014, with our 2 teen kids, age 19 and 16. The flat is beautifully decorated, with original details preserved in the beautiful woodwork, floors and doors. The flat was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and our son slept great on the sofa in the front room. There are great views from the kitchen and back parlor of the bay, bay bridge, St. Peter & Paul Cathedral, Coit Tower and Alcatraz. The location is incredibly convenient! We bought a muni pass, road the Powell Mason cable car from around the corner and caught busses to and from nearby Stockton Street. We walked to Coit Tower, to the famous Lombard Street, and to North Beach for great meals. We highly recommend this property, and would definitely stay here again! The owners were very easy to deal with and very responsive to all e-mail inquiries."

  • Beautiful Home!

"This home worked perfect for the 5 of us. We loved the Victorian style and it was remodeled beautifully. Our daughter and her friend adored the home and had to eat every meal in the sunroom! The light from the sunroom into the kitchen is wondefful, especially in the mornings. The separation of space was great for everyone to relax after a long day at Six Flags or in San Francisco. The house was nicely located to both places. The ferry into San Francisco is conveniently located just a short walk from the house and was another great experience. It was a unique way to see the city and provided a relaxing travel experience, especially after inadvertently getting caught in SF rush hour traffic the day before! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Bay Area and this house made it even better."

  • Perfect getaway apartment, location, and owner.

"We can't say enough about our stay at the Charming Castro Garden Apartment - but must include that we wish we could have stayed longer. Guillermo met us at the apartment upon arrival and answered a handful of questions. Then he was available by text throughout - a very accommodating host. As for the Apartment - surprisingly homey and very well Appointed! We each have rentals in Colorado and learned from his comfortable yet uncluttered enhancements. The neighborhood and neighbors were quiet and the location was perfect - nestled in between two parks - and excellent for walking to the Castro, market street, and NoPa where we have relatives - many restaurants, stores, gyms, and coffee shops within a mile of the apartment. Since we're walkers and staying a little higher than the city, we didn't need a car and enjoyed the views as we ventured out. As an Architect, I enjoyed walking different routes back to the apartment and seeing the variety of old and new homes. More specifics? The bed is VERY comfortable - haven't slept this well on a vacation in years - and the bathroom is easily shareable for two with ample shelves, storage and elbow room. The Garden is a treat for viewing and sitting though we didn't spend enough time outside there. AND we enjoyed the counter height table and are now considering one for our home. Also: the 1 Bedroom Apt felt large for 2 and would have been comfortable for more, though we didn't want to share with Family. I would highly recommend this apartment and Guillermo as an owner and host - thank you for having us. We would definitely return and hope to on our next visit with family. Best wishes & safe travels to you."
