"Awesome place to stay in Quincy!
I stayed here with some friends on 10/17'14 weekend and this house provides everything we need and more!
It's 10 miles from Quincy town center, up near Bucks lake, so it's really private and quiet.
It has patio overlooking grown pine trees, though we didn't spend much time there since we're busy sight-seeing around Quincy.
The pantry is also well stocked with cups, plates and what-have-you. Some snacks/drinks are even thrown in for good measure.
Raymond (the owner) is really generous and such a good host, he made sure we have every info we need (including places to visit, restaurants, etc) prior to we arrive at his house. Thanks Raymond!
The house is very well kept and clean, the listing photos and descriptions are accurate!
I would definitely recommend this house to all my friends and I'll definitely rent again if I'm back in Quincy."

"Every summer my parents took us to my Uncles cabin for vacation. The adults played cards, relaxed & laughed. We fished, explored the woods and stargazed. These are my fondest memories of childhood.
This home in the woods has a higher comfort level than my Uncle’s cabin, though it is just as felicitously situated in a lovely wilderness. The home may be a tad worn at the edges but it is homey, comfortable and located in one of the most scenic areas in California. It is very roomy, has the amenities you need, a stunning view, and easy access. It can easily accommodate a large family (or two), your fishing buddies or your sewing group (I was there for a quilting retreat).
Leslie was an excellent communicator and addressed all my questions. Her directions were spot-on and we had no trouble finding the home. We stayed in mid-winter and used the wood stove to heat the home (they supplied wood & kindling), but they provide ample electric heaters for those with no fire-building experience.
I’d like to repeat that this is a remote wilderness area: if you cannot live without wifi, WalMart, cell phones or a big screen TV it may not be for you. They do have Direct TV and a land-line phone to keep you connected, but I would encourage you to bring some games and play instead. The local market sells groceries & fishing supplies, so you needn’t worry about running out of milk. Get outside: the Klamath River and Mountains are one of the most remote and lovely places on earth. We especially enjoyed the quiet—we slept very soundly.
The home and sunny lawn are ready for your family to relax, enjoy the pool or hike to the river. An excellent place for your family to reconnect with each other and nature, a place where your kids can build their fondest memories of summer."

"We stayed here for a week-long family vacation that wrapped up on Memorial Day. Our favorite features of this unique home were the separate studio, the large kitchen, and the open living space concept/design. The living/dining room area lends itself well to comfortable gathering, and we spent every night cozied up by the fireplace, talking and playing board games. For our stay, there were a few things that could have been improved upon, such as overall cleanliness and a broken toilet seat in the master bath. We are trying to work with the owner on these concerns and are currently awaiting his reply. These concerns are balanced by many positives, including a great location on the 6th tee, plenty of parking room, and one of the pet-friendliest places we've ever rented on VRBO. The heads up from other reviewers about the overall openness of design as it pertains to a relative lack of privacy is good to note (e.g. there is no bathroom door to separate the master bedroom from the bathroom....just a curtain) - not a problem, I suppose, as long as you are prepared and not overly modest. Would we return? Possibly....depends on whether or not we're able to settle things amicably with the owner. Hope so!"

"I needed a clean quiet environment to write and find peace, and I found it here. The cabin was clean and neat; very easy to locate household products commonly used. The decks were perfect locations to give me different serene views. No city noise, I truly capture great moments of peace in front of the fireplace, and it's warmth indescribable. The cabin had all the amenities I needed which was a surprise compared to other resorts i visited. Flat screens TV's in all the bed rooms with DVD players, my kids will love their rooms. Overall you can't go wrong staying at this cabin, alone or with family which will be my next adventure."
