"We spent a week at this home in June 2015 and had a great time. Two of us from Colorado and two from Redding really enjoyed our time at this home on the lake. The home is just as the photos show and it was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed, except a sharp knife to clean the fish (The owner has probably already provided one by now as recommended). Really great catching fish from the kayak and the dock-but many fought so hard they got away-loved the fight. Also very convenient to have the compressor to blow up our water toys and having the dock was perfect access. The weather was abnormally hot for June, but the window AC units kept it pretty comfortable. We also went bike riding, hiking and jet skiing. We would definitely stay here again if we decide to vacation at Lake Almanor in the future."

"My girlfriend and I just needed to get away. Jean's yurt, nestled in the woods between Mt. Shasta and the Trinities, was the perfect place to escape. All the comforts (well equipped kitchen, cozy wood-burning stove, steam shower and more) and easy access to all the sites. For the burned out, tired professional or someone just looking for a slice of steady peace, this yurt is THE yurt. Jean was very helpful and responsive and knew great trails and day trips. I recommend without reservation (though I recommend you make a reservation)"

"As a healthcare consultant it's always nice to be able to take a break from the hotel life and have some of the comforts of home. This apartment in Chico fits the bill perfectly. From making the reservation to having everything you need the owners have done a wonderful job as making this a wonderful place to relax after a long day at work. The first thing I did when I arrived is find a local grocery store (close by) to purchase not only what I needed for the week but make a wonderful dinner in a fully equipped kitchen. The place is tastefully decorated to give it a warm and cozy feel. I would highly recommend this home away from home for your stay in Chico."

"Every summer we travel to National Parks and stay in cabins. This rental has become one of our lodging favorites and we wished we could have stayed longer. We hiked each day in Lassen and looked forward to coming back to the Lucky Pinecone each evening. So clean and well maintained with all the comforts of home. Relaxing on the front porch each night was a highlight of the day. We loved hearing the hustle and bustle of the camp across the way. (Children having fun is a good thing!) Hopefully our travels will bring us back in this direction and we will be able to stay again at the Lucky Pinecone."
