  • This was a very nice place to take the family.

"This was a very nice place to take the family. We had a great time, right on the lake! The owners were very responsive and everything happened without a hitch! Everything was clean and well maintained."

  • Great Family Vacation Spot

"This is a great cabin for a family vacation - very relaxing and low key. It is conveniently located across from the Rec center which hosts a bunch of different activities for kids and families: movie night, swim, pickle ball, and tennis lessons. Unfortunately, this year the water levels were not great for swimming. The property managers are wonderful and VERY helpful and responsive. Clean and comfy, but bare bones amenities so be prepared for a low tech experience:no dishwasher, only one bathroom on the ground floor (not easy for little ones during the night), WiFi intermittent, no telephone (cell service sketchy), and TV not positioned in a place for easy group viewing of movies. Although possible to do day trips/hikes to Lassen National Park, it is a good 1 hour away from the entrance of the park -- so its a long day of driving."

  • Beautiful Home, Beautiful Property

"Our family spent the week of May 4-May 12 at the Lake house. It was our first family trip in years that included our grandchildren. We arrived and the house was everything that I had hoped it would be, we all really felt at home. The house was well stocked with supplies, very clean, beautifully decorated and all the beds were very comfortable. The outside deck was spacious with plenty of seating. We experienced some crazy weather that week, but we made the best of it. I would recommend this home again and again, I hope that we can visit in the summer and really enjoy all the outdoor adventures that the area offers. The guest house had a wonderful play area for the little ones and was exactly had we have in our home. The owners have gone above and beyond to make their home welcoming, comfortable and special for all."

  • Spacious

"The house doesn't look that impressive from the outside but the inside is pretty nice. The layout of this house was perfect for 2 families. A master bedroom with King + small bedroom with queen was upstairs that is good for a family with kids. A small bedroom on the main level and a separate area on the bottom floor. Doors could be closed for the stairways if you have small children. It was super hot when we were there in july so we were a little unprepared for that. The upstairs was a bit uncomfortable but once we knew to keep the blinds closed and dark, it helped a lot. The bottom level remained cool and nice throughout though. The hot tub was perfect and everything was in order. Make sure to bring some games/dvds since we didn't realize there wouldn't be any cable/wifi (our mistake) and there is poor 3g service in the area. It is walkable to Rec 1 but a bit of a trek uphill to come back. The outdoor bbq was nice though."

Lake Almanor Travel Tips

Lake Almanor Vacation Rentals Heal the Soul

It is believed that people are healthiest when they are in natural surroundings, clean air, and beautiful views. With trails to walk and hike and bicycles waiting to be ridden, there are plenty of ways to get fresh air into your lungs and really revive your body on a cellular level. Areas with aquatic life have the added benefit of swimming, fishing, and other water sports, in addition to the soothing, healing sound of water. Isn't it a wonder, then, that we put our sick people in closed rooms to recover from illness and surgery with all the stagnant air and dreariness. How do we expect them to get better?

Recharge Yourself WithLake Almanor Lodging

Imagine that you are recovering from surgery or even something like a broken heart. Instead of looking at the same setting in your depressing surroundings, how much more therapeutic would it be to get away to a fresh, new place that is comfortable, clean, and luxurious, with clear air and beautiful views. You can even select high-end amenities that are perfect for you. Just being there would brighten everything up, change your outlook and revive you. Lake Almanor in Northern California offers just such a setting and if you decide to stay there in a vacation rental property, you can have all that was mentioned before. It's easy and quick and all you have to do is go to VRBO.com to plan your trip.
