"The cabin was exactly what we wanted; on the lake with a dock, private, deck overlooking the water with fabulous sunset. The cabin was clean and had all of the amenities. The owners are gracious enough to let you bring your family pet and our dog never had such a good time! The train was a bit of a surprise as it woke us all Sunday night. We were a little disappointed that there wasn't a kayak or small boat to get out on the water. However, boat rentals are not far away so we rented a nice pontoon one day for 4 hours. This was just a quick getaway for us but we are already planning when will go back!"

"There's nothing better than to be able to sit out on the deck with your morning coffee and listen to the deer wonder below and relax while looking out over Lake Almanor. This home was beyond our expectations. The interior was warm and welcoming and the amenities were more than expected. Our family had a fantastic time relaxing and spending time together cooking and playing cards out on the deck. Tom was great to work with and maintained constant contact before and during our stay. We will be back in 2016 with more family members."

"12 of us, ranging in age from 4 to 68, spent a week at Hansen's Lake Vista and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was very clean when we arrived. It is very nicely furnished but not so fancy as to prevent you from making yourself at home. The large back deck pictured on this site was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. We also enjoyed the large lawn that runs from back of house to lake. Not only is it lovely but it was a good place to enjoy outdoor games. We had a boat so made good use of the dock and lake even though there was quite a bit of wind that made boating problematic the last few days of our stay. We only ate out one night and had good pizza at Paul Bunyon's on the Peninsula. Other than that, we cooked basic meals in the kitchen which was adequately supplied with utensils for our simple needs. The rooms and room sizes worked very well for us so we weren't constantly tripping all over one another. There are many board games there as well as a kayak and paddleboat, both of which we used. The hot tub had just stopped working when we got there and the parts needed did not arrive by the time we left. Not a problem for us. There is enough room to park a few cars (we had 4) and even a boat trailer. The owner answered all questions promptly and there is a "manager" that lives nearby in case you have questions while you are there. I would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend it to friends."
