  • VERY RELAXING!!!!

"I have to say that is was one of our most relaxing vacations that we've had in a long time. The view of the lake from the master bedrooms was specular. The pictures and descriptions of the home are exactly as they are posted on the website. Roomy, loved the openness of the kitchen and living room. We had 6 adults and never felt crowded. Kitchen was well equipped with all your small appliances from crockpot to ice cream maker, glass bowls, baking pans, wine glasses and too many other items to list. No issues with the internet connections. The home was clean and well maintained and well stocked with linens. Access to the lake was right out the back door. We enjoyed the Kayaking and canoeing."

  • Had a great time

"We stayed over the Easter Holiday and the owner was sweet enough to have an egg hunt for our two year old ready Sunday morning. It was a very comfortable stay for our family. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the necessary cooking utensils and pans. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were stocked with extra toiletries in case we forgot anything. It was snowing on Sunday but our rooms stayed very comfortable with the heaters, our 4 month old and 2 year old were never cold and slept great. We had a private deck just off of the main bedroom with a great view of the pond. We only rented the main house, not the mother-in-law suite, but we did get a chance to look at the extra space and it was very comfortable as well. We will definitely be staying again. Helga was a wonderful host and welcomed us like family."

  • Awesome week - beautiful

"A wonderful experience all around, beautiful house, great weather, fantastic lake, awesome private dock, great private area, great owners. Very family friendly home and grounds, So beautiful to sit on the deck overlooking the lake and enjoy the sunset after a day of water skiing and boating. We brought our own boat, launched it in the back yard and kept in on the private dock for the whole week, so convenient. Overall very nice, This exceeded my expectations. Now, if I could just figure out how to catch the trophy sized trout that are in abundance in this lake... next time."

  • Perfect!

"What a nice home! We looked at a lot of homes around the lake and decided on this one in the town of Chester -- and are very happy with the choice. We're not so much into the lake scene, although you are only 12-15 minutes from either side of the lake. We came here to hike nearby trails, of which there are many -- Lassen Park & Caribou Wilderness being two of the best. (We also acquired a long list of future hikes.) We liked it that the drive from Chester to Lassen is only about 30 minutes. This home is super-clean and nicely decorated. It is very comfortable, especially the firm king bed in the master bedroom (this is not a cheap mattress). There were only two of us so we didn't use the other two bedrooms. The living room has very nice sofas and chairs to relax in. The front and back yard is manicured and the back deck is set next to a stand of Jeffrey Pines that gives you the feel of sitting in a forest. (Not to mention all the birds -- Mountain Chickadee, White-headed Woodpecker, Pygmy Nuthatch, California Quail, etc.) The neighborhood is quiet (we barely saw any neighbors) and the surrounding homes are well cared-for. You won't be disappointed."
