"The house is even more beautiful that the pictures! in our 3 day stay we didn't want for anything. It was winter but even then there is enough to do in the house itself. Its spacious and well stocked. Owners were a joy to work with. It's truly a home as you can tell with the special touches the owners have put in.
They had even decorated the house for Christmas complete with a tree and mistletoe!! Once you've been there you can tell its a home not just a house put up for rent. Would love to return in summer. 5 stars all the way."

"This is a great cabin for a family vacation - very relaxing and low key. It is conveniently located across from the Rec center which hosts a bunch of different activities for kids and families: movie night, swim, pickle ball, and tennis lessons. Unfortunately, this year the water levels were not great for swimming. The property managers are wonderful and VERY helpful and responsive. Clean and comfy, but bare bones amenities so be prepared for a low tech experience:no dishwasher, only one bathroom on the ground floor (not easy for little ones during the night), WiFi intermittent, no telephone (cell service sketchy), and TV not positioned in a place for easy group viewing of movies. Although possible to do day trips/hikes to Lassen National Park, it is a good 1 hour away from the entrance of the park -- so its a long day of driving."

"12 of us, ranging in age from 4 to 68, spent a week at Hansen's Lake Vista and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was very clean when we arrived. It is very nicely furnished but not so fancy as to prevent you from making yourself at home. The large back deck pictured on this site was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. We also enjoyed the large lawn that runs from back of house to lake. Not only is it lovely but it was a good place to enjoy outdoor games. We had a boat so made good use of the dock and lake even though there was quite a bit of wind that made boating problematic the last few days of our stay. We only ate out one night and had good pizza at Paul Bunyon's on the Peninsula. Other than that, we cooked basic meals in the kitchen which was adequately supplied with utensils for our simple needs. The rooms and room sizes worked very well for us so we weren't constantly tripping all over one another. There are many board games there as well as a kayak and paddleboat, both of which we used. The hot tub had just stopped working when we got there and the parts needed did not arrive by the time we left. Not a problem for us. There is enough room to park a few cars (we had 4) and even a boat trailer. The owner answered all questions promptly and there is a "manager" that lives nearby in case you have questions while you are there. I would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend it to friends."
