  • Thank you SO much for allowing us to use your lovely home in Lassen for a few days!

"Dear Michael, Thank you SO much for allowing us to use your lovely home in Lassen for a few days! We truly appreciated the beauty of the area and we were calling it "our" stream before we left :). We miss it already!!! The information you sent us ahead of time was very helpful: We saw a bear, enjoyed hiking to and learning about Bumpass Hell, and dining in Redding. We had a wonderful time doing the "day trip" to Shasta, although, we missed a few things, and the town itself, as the weather and the day ran out before we could fit it all in!! McArthur-Burney Falls were absolutely fabulous! We did the Lava Cave trip and also dined in the town of McCloud. Of course, the best part was spending time with our dearest friends, but how awesome we got to do that in such a relaxing and gorgeous environment. Your home is lovely and we hope we left it in at least as good a shape as when we found it. Please let us know if there is anything we could have cared for better. Thanks again, Lisa (on behalf of all of us)"

  • Escape to the Woods

"My family just spent 5 blissful days at this cabin. Plenty of room for 5 and our teenage boy twins (13). The boys hiked down to the pond every day to fish which was heaven for them. Great house w/everything we needed, including Dish TV and WIFI. Peaceful, no traffic, no people and the sound of the babbling creek in the backyard. Hiked in Lassen and Burney Falls (not to be missed!!!). House was eclectic, homey and the cleanest home we've ever rented! Fresh baked bread on arrival - priceless. Great vacation and we're ready to go back!"

  • Storybook Cottage

"This was a wonderful place to stay - so comfortable, well-equipped, and beautiful, inside and out. We loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the soothing sound of the stream nearby. The owners were easy to deal with, and we felt very welcome."

  • Wonderful property!

"I would definetly reccommend this rental to anyone with a large group, dogs or children. We had 3 couples, 2 infants and we were able to bring two labs and a husky and didnt have to put them on leashes for the 4 days we were there. The fishing pond is complete with its own rowboat and the sound of the creek make this a nice house that feels very secluded, although it is close to the vineyards, store, etc. There is no poison oak anywhere on the property. The renters are very nice and accomodating. They were flexible with check in/out times and supplied all the firewood for the fireplace, all the linens and lots of towels. There are lots of picnic tables and 2 outdoor BBQ pits. Lake Nora and Grace are a nice place to picnic, but thats about it They should be called ponds, not lakes. The pond on the property is nicer than they are(and not much smaller). If fishing is your thing I recommend the pond for Bass and all the surrounding creeks/streams for flyfishing. Battle creek is very close and the flows look great. The house is good size and the couch also folds out into a bed. There are also several small vinyards that the ladies in our group had a wonderful time visiting for the afternoon. The property is truly nicer than advertised and is well maintained. The smooth flooring made having the dogs in the living room worry free and easy to clean. Overall it was a great couple of days and Im sure we'll be back."
