"first of all Michael was fabulous! He greeted us when we arrived and showed us where everything was in the house. The pillows and the beds are super comfy! The best part of the house was the year round running creek, and lots of trees in the backyard. It was so relaxing that we had our morning coffee and our evening wine by the creek. We stayed eight nights and nine days with something to do every one of those days. Hiking, fishing, relaxing by the lakes. It so much fun! Our 12-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl had a great time! They were never bored.. Hat creek is close and Burney Falls is worth the 50 minute drive..be sure to check first if you bring a dog that some parks, and hiking trails do not allow dogs. Thank you Michael for opening your wonderful home to VRBO."

"This was the perfect retreat for my family and I after a very difficult week of the loss of two loved ones. It was so pleasant to sit on the deck and listen to the peaceful babbling of the creek and to immerse yourself in the beauty of the trees. The kitchen is well stocked and a great BBQ made meal preparation feel like home. Close to Mt. Lassen for great hikes or kayaking. Wonderful home to come back to. And don't miss staying on the deck until fully dark to see the beautiful stars you only see in the mountains. Thank you for sharing your home."

"Every summer we travel to National Parks and stay in cabins. This rental has become one of our lodging favorites and we wished we could have stayed longer. We hiked each day in Lassen and looked forward to coming back to the Lucky Pinecone each evening. So clean and well maintained with all the comforts of home. Relaxing on the front porch each night was a highlight of the day. We loved hearing the hustle and bustle of the camp across the way. (Children having fun is a good thing!) Hopefully our travels will bring us back in this direction and we will be able to stay again at the Lucky Pinecone."

"Our family of four stayed here quite comfortably. The setting is lovely - it was so dark and quiet at night, a great place to stargaze. The drive to Lassen was easy. The kitchen is well equipped. The photos in the listing are accurate, the property is clean. I would stay here again for another Lassen trip."
