"My bride of 5 years (...celebrated part our 5th wedding anniversary here) and I absolutely fell in love with this place! The perfect little hideaway to escape the rat race, and to unwind and unplug. We could have easily spent our entire vacation here... It's that good, it's that comfortable, it's that nice. We were a little bummed to leave... The whole way to our next vacation destination we discussed potential future vacation plans to be able share this little piece of paradise with some close friends of ours. We're already working on planning our next stay! Many thanks to the Moore's for sharing their wonderful and beautiful cabin! Thank you!"

"Every summer we travel to National Parks and stay in cabins. This rental has become one of our lodging favorites and we wished we could have stayed longer. We hiked each day in Lassen and looked forward to coming back to the Lucky Pinecone each evening. So clean and well maintained with all the comforts of home. Relaxing on the front porch each night was a highlight of the day. We loved hearing the hustle and bustle of the camp across the way. (Children having fun is a good thing!) Hopefully our travels will bring us back in this direction and we will be able to stay again at the Lucky Pinecone."

"This is a good rental and should be considered by most people. i want to touch on a subject that i have not seen in other reviews. As our time to rent came near the weather forecast was for very high temperatures and we were very nervous about renting a house with no AC. Temperatures got to 113f in nearby Redding, CA for a couple days and at the house it got to 85 to 90f. If you follow their directions, open widows in late evening and leave open all night and then close everything up at 7:30 am, the house stays cool for the day. The only exception would be if you have allergy's and you cannot leave the windows open all night then i would not recommend to rent any home in this area in the summer.
Needed updates: mattress, upstairs and downstairs, Too soft. Replace downstairs couch as its very tired. Pots and pans need replacing. Need to replace window screens in upstairs king and downstairs bedroom door screens next to bathroom, especially since tight fitting window screens are a must when you have to leave your windows open all night.
Highlights of the property are the multiple patio's, the low lights are lack of AC, 5 mph driving zone.
This is a good rental, it justs needs some updates along with removing the animals all over the walls, very strange."
