"Beautiful cabin- the pictures don't do it justice! Very well-maintained and comfortable. The fresh bread, which they invite you to make in their bread machine, was a nice and delicious touch! We were sorry we couldn't stay longer- we didn't even get a chance to use the hammocks, clawfoot tub, BBQ grill or the wraparound porch."

"Every summer we travel to National Parks and stay in cabins. This rental has become one of our lodging favorites and we wished we could have stayed longer. We hiked each day in Lassen and looked forward to coming back to the Lucky Pinecone each evening. So clean and well maintained with all the comforts of home. Relaxing on the front porch each night was a highlight of the day. We loved hearing the hustle and bustle of the camp across the way. (Children having fun is a good thing!) Hopefully our travels will bring us back in this direction and we will be able to stay again at the Lucky Pinecone."

"Michael was an excellent host, and super nice, showing us around, giving us advice about what to do around Lassen, and making sure we had everything that we needed. The kids played in the big creek right outside the house and made s'mores in the fire pit. It's a couple of miles from Singletown which has a good general store where we got groceries to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. It's a great place low altitude place to (de)compress after hiking Mt. Lassen, or Cinder Cone. Highly recommended!"
