"We had to make last minute reservations, and then needed to stay a number of days beyond our original dates. Steph and Heidi were so friendly and accommodating. I felt as though we were dealing with old friends. The cabin was awesome, right on the river. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfy. Everything was clean and quiet. Doggies were welcome. We plan on staying again in the near future."

"Our group of eight young adults had a lovely time at the Sow's Ear, it fit us just perfectly and we enjoyed using the hot tub and fire circle right next door at the owner's house - they encouraged us to stay late and enjoy ourselves but it is worth noting they are right next door and we felt bad being a little loud though it was our getaway weekend to do exactly that and have fun together. The lake is right nearby and we made all our food at the house (note, no dishwasher). Nice place!"

"My husband and I had a fabulous time. The cabin was exactly as advertised. It is very clean and quite secluded. We did not have cell service with AT&T but were told Verizon works there. We could get cell service in Weaverville which worked for us. We loved driving through the mountains and checking out the trail heads and creeks in the area. We actually got to see our first bear down by Coffee Creek and the deer were everywhere. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a nice quiet get away in a beautiful setting. They have all the kitchen tools and dishes you could need and plenty of sheets and towels (the washer and dryer are a big plus!). The only draw back is that the stairs to the main floor are pretty steep but they do have a nice rail. The upper porch deck is gorgeous and I loved the little lights they have hanging out there. It was the best vacation we have had in a very long time."

"We rented this charming cabin from June 24th to 28th of 2015. It was a cute and cozy cabin. The living room and dining room were comfortable and cozy, kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were spacious. The view of the Trinity River was incredible. The weather was extremely hot outside so stayed indoor more to stay cool. We saw deer and geese. It was very quiet and relaxing. However, we weren't prepared for many mosquito bites early mornings and during the evenings. The mattress in the master room could have been more firmer. My husband was disappointed that he didn't catch much fish but got only few bites. Overall, it was an enjoyable mini vacation for our family."
