"This was the second time I stayed at "The Cabin in the Woods" and I plan on coming back a couple times a year. The house is absolutely lovely and has everything you need for the perfect vacation. I grew up in Trinity County and there is nothing better than coming home. The last trip was over the 4th of July and we had 10 people ranging from 2 years-old up to 78 years-old and everyone was comfortable and happy in the cabin. It is a short 10 minutes into Weaverville and 10 minutes to Halena (our favorite swimming hole). I got the pleasure of meeting Mark the owner and am thankful he is willing to share his home. I would recommend this to all my friends and family and hope you will enjoy this beautiful spot in the future."

"We rented this charming cabin from June 24th to 28th of 2015. It was a cute and cozy cabin. The living room and dining room were comfortable and cozy, kitchen was well stocked and the bedrooms were spacious. The view of the Trinity River was incredible. The weather was extremely hot outside so stayed indoor more to stay cool. We saw deer and geese. It was very quiet and relaxing. However, we weren't prepared for many mosquito bites early mornings and during the evenings. The mattress in the master room could have been more firmer. My husband was disappointed that he didn't catch much fish but got only few bites. Overall, it was an enjoyable mini vacation for our family."

"WE had a great stay here. Owners were super easy to deal with and kind and welcoming - and lots of nice touches. Including wine and cheese upon arrival. House is well stocked and maintained and clean - and more of an old-fashioned style than ultra modern but it suits the house. With three teenagers there was lots of room to spread out. The BEST part of the house was having breakfast on the deck, and dinner on the deck. The BBQ on the deck made meals easy. We went to Whiskey Lake and Lassen Volcanic park and even explored Redding. We weren't sure at all what to expect of the area and used it as a "stopping" point between Berkeley and Bend - but easily could have stayed longer."

"The house is located on a beautiful spot towards the end of the lake and we all spent countless hours on the deck large enough for 10/11 people to enjoy eating meals and hanging and enjoying the view. We didn't get the constant buzz from the boats and jet skis that's common on smaller lakes and really appreciated how quiet and private it seemed. We had our own ski boat and for the whole week felt that the lake was like our very own in August! The home was comfortable and clean but it is dated. It was a little cramped for 10 or 11 adults sleeping but Deanna, the owner, did warn us and we really do appreciate her accommodating us. I think if we had smaller children the sleeping arrangements would have worked a little better. Deanna was very responsive, informative and I personally liked her very much. Nearby Lassen National Park is a must see - amazing hikes!"
