  • Heavenly Respite from Monotony!

"This house is impeccably maintained with modern appliances and gorgeous wood interior (think modern, tasteful cabin wood). Equally lovely are the multiple decks and sitting areas surrounding the whole house! I followed the sun as I enjoyed coffee in four different sitting areas! I imagine that if I'd been with multiple couples, we all could've had our own private "space," too. Although they have WIFI available and a TV/DVD I never used either once; nature is too lovely. I BBQ'd, kayaked (easy entrance/exit with their little "beach" addition), read a book a day, and drove down the road to get morning coffee and fresh-made baked goods at the little coffee shop in Duncans Mills. It truly is centrally located and you can hop in the car and drive to Guerneville, state parks to hike, or even beaches! I even made it to a winery for a tasting during my exploration. There's something so calming about being right on the water. I returned home feeling refreshed and relaxed! The property is definitely clean and well-maintained and allowed me to feel comfortable immediately. I will definitely return to this location!"

  • Beautiful, Kid-Friendly Property

"Our group of 10 adults (plus a handful of little ones) had a fabulous stay at this property. Lovely decor, great layout and impressive grounds made for a terrific house to host our group for the weekend. Our kids delighted in the toys on hand, the swing set out back and the batting cage! The adults loved sitting outside by the fire pit as well as enjoying several great hangout spots - cozy living room, fabulous large dining room table and a great garden spot amidst the lovely terrace. We look forward to our return!"

  • Great Stay

"Wonderful accommodations - I came to Napa/Sonoma area to run the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon and have a girls' weekend with a good friend who is battling cancer. The Cottage was great and had everything we needed. It is just a quick few miles from downtown Sonoma. The owner was very nice. I will recommend the Cottage in the Oaks to others."

  • Lovely Getaway!

"This home is absolutely beautiful! It was perfect for our girls' trip to Sonoma with plenty of space and gorgeous views. It went above and beyond our expectations! A very comfortable stay and the house was stocked with everything you could ever need. Close enough to Sonoma Square with lots to do, but far enough in the hills that it was very peaceful. Hope to return soon!"

Wine Country Travel Tips

California Wine Country Travel Gives You Access to World-class Wines

Beyond the beaches, if there is one thing for which the state of California is known, it is its wine country. Producing some of the finest wines in the world, the Napa and Sonoma regions of California are often at the top of wine enthusiasts' lists when it comes to California wine country travel. If you are looking for a vacation idea that is unique and different and may also help you learn just a bit more about this interesting industry, then come on over to California. The vineyards are welcoming, the wines are exceptional and the wine country vacation rentals and wine country lodging are simply luxurious.

A Bouquet of Options with California Wine Country Travel

California wine country is well-accustomed to visitors who want to sample their award-winning wines and tour the vineyards. As a result, you will find a host of wine country lodging options to suit your needs. Whether you need space for just one or two people or you are traveling with a larger group, the wine country vacation rentals in the area will meet your needs. After settling into your vacation home, it will be time to do some exploring. The vineyards in wine country range from small family-owned affairs to much larger vineyards. All of them have one thing in common and it is the hospitality they display to visitors. Most are happy to provide tours, offer samples, give lectures about the characteristics of their wines, and offer shops where you can purchase their products to take home.

Wine Country Vacation Rentals Are Your Connection to Fine Wines

When planning California wine country travel, keep in mind that it is a good idea to check with the local vineyards before you leave your wine country lodging. While most vineyards are all too happy to welcome guests, some vineyards have specific times at which they give tours and are not open to the public during other hours.

Experience It All with Wine Country Lodging

While your main interest may lie in touring the wineries and vineyards during your California wine country travel, keep in mind that there are many other sights to explore in the area as well, including fine shopping and dining opportunities not far from wine country vacation rentals.
